Season 4, Episode 9: Invasion of the Ranger Snatchers

Sigh. Another rather boring episode!!! I mean I thought with being on the set of movie, the writers would make this a fun episode but the Machine Empire is already coming up with schemes that are becoming rather silly. I mean, I guess since it was Prince Sprocket's plan that the silliness makes sense. I mean even for a child of a King of an evil monarch would come up with a plan to put the Power Rangers in their movie. So when Kat, Tanya and Rocky are extras in one, why not take advantage of that by making your enemies the star of a movie they won't survive.

Of course, when Cogs show up and steal some costumes on set while Rocky is about to have his big break spoils the moments and leads to the three rangers having to chase the thieving Cogs off set. After a cool (and I believe first instant morph sequence??? O_o) The rangers end up in front of an army of Cogs. The three rangers call for back up as Adam and Tommy are practicing their martial arts moves for an algorithm test that Billy is conducting on them. Once they hear what's happening, Billy heads to the Power Chamber while Tommy and Adam morph and meet the others. They reunite and fight off the large number of Cogs until they are captured by Sprocket and sent into a bizarre set of a film where there is a forced field around them. They try to break free, even with their Zeo laser pistols but it is no use. On the TV, Clank tells them they are now the stars of Sprocket's movie, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and they can't escape.

Soon Clank begins to call rangers on to the set, starting with Tommy and Tanya who drop onto a set where a costume from the movie set turns into a monster called Leaky Faucet. As they are being attacked, Billy and Alpha manage to track down where the rangers are. Previously in another scene in the Power Chamber, Zordon told Billy that Sprocker's movies don't have a happy ending but if the rangers were to change that then they might be able to escape their movie prison. Rocky, Adam and Kat then head on set to meet Tommy and Tanya where they have been told of what to do. They watch as a bus full of bus drives out of control and they have to find a way to save the people. They find way to enter the scene and are next seen....riding on horses......sigh....after the bus. They enter the bus and discover the bus driver is just a trap. As the bus gets on fire and is about to go overboard, they grab all the civilians and jump out with them as the bus explodes. With the movie rapped, the civilians disappear and the rangers are free.

But Sprocket isn't done with them yet and he has four monsters, including Leaky Faucet attack the rangers. The monsters soon combine blasts then form into one monster that Clank throws Orbis on to make it grow. As the monster grows, the rangers call on their Zeo Zords to form the Zeo Megazord to destroy the monster....or rather they destroy the bridge the monster is on until it falls to it's death....wow!!! -_- Anyway, with everything back to normal, the three teens continue on their day on set as Skull becomes Rocky's stunt double to everyone else's, even Bulk's, amusement.

Meh, this was another filler episode that pretty much bored me as it just wasn't exciting in the least. Maybe next time I hope!!! Meh!!
