Season 3, Episode 15: The Potion Notion

Meehhh, this episode was kind of dull. I liked the premise of Rito taking over things, well at least him thinking he can take over things, while Rita and Zedd go on their second honeymoon by taking control of a monster but the whole random love potion that Miss Chief would put on the people of Angel Grove was just that...random. I honestly don't get what Rito's plan was.to make everyone fall in love with each other. I guess seeing Kimberly fall for Skull was suppose to be funny?? Not really?? I found Bulk falling for Aisha more amusing as well as Lt. Stone and Mr. Caplan falling for Ms. Applebee.

I guess it was nice to see Goldar finally find out that Rita put Lord Zedd under a love spell but they really didn't do anything with it...Except for the fact that we learn once Finster reverses the love spell on Zedd, it turns out he was really in love with her all along, which I guess is kinda funny, I'm running out of things to say about this episode which is never a good sign. The episode pretty much concludes in typical fashion with the monster being forced to grow and the megazord fight ensues.

I guess the one good thing I can say about this episode is that it progresses the relationship between Bulk and Skull as well as the rangers. It was nice to see Kimberly have some empathy for Skull after the spell was broken and actually wanting to make him feel better. It was a genuine heartwarming moment that sees that the relationship between them is growing and that now they can actually call each other friends. Awwww....but besides that this episode was pure filler once again. Nothing really important happens and it can be missed.
