MMAR Season 3.5, Episode 8: Sowing the Seas of Evil

Thank God this episode focused more on the little rangers' Zeo Quest than the Alien Rangers back in the present, past, whatever!!! While I find the Alien Ranger action fun, the Alien Rangers themselves are boring and I'm sick their constant need of water!!! Seriously, there is nothing more to them than needing water, talking funny and using some weird hydro power. All we know is Cestro is the scientist of the team, Delphine is the leader and that's it, the rest are pretty forgettable. I mean I know this mini-series was made to help with the transition between the Mighty Morphin' and Zeo, but goodness these second rate rangers are SOOOOO boring. So I'm gonna talk less about them and more about little Kat and little Tommy's Zeo Quests.

Tommy lands in the past in a Native American village where he asks a Native woman about where the Sub Crystal might be. At least this one doesn't speak perfect English but still understands Tommy enough to lead him to a wise old man named True of Heart. He is basically Tommy's guide to the Sub Crystal; telling him a story of a boy who would travel to the past to obtain the crystal. He continues to lead Tommy; telling him vague stories of the future and following his heart by looking inside himself. All these stereotypical Native American stuff. He guides him to a forest, then to a top the mountain where he must chose which of three wrapped bags contains what he's looking for. He closes his eyes to look within himself to find out which one as the two are the side explode, leaving just the one in the middle. It's his Sub crystal!!! Yay!!! True of Heart also gives him a half of an arrow head which he tells him he will find out more in the future.

Meanwhile, Katherine arrives in Australia and begins walking down a road until a woman that looks exactly like her stops next to her. While Katherine is shocked and surprised, she needs her help to find the crystal as he tells her she knows where it is. The Katherine look-a-like's name is Agatha. Agatha drives the two down the road saying it's going to be a long journey until they come across an old woman, who looks like Katherine again......So do ALL Australian women look the same??? Dammit Writers!!! -_- Anyway, Katherine is given a chose whether to help the old lady who could be a pedophile or continue on her journey with the random stranger who could also be pedophile.....decisions, decisions!!! Ultimately, Katherine helps the old lady and after bringing her home, she rewards Katherine with a gift....her Sub Crystal!!! Apparently it was a lesson of sacrifice and compassion and she passed!!! Awww!!! :)

Meanwhile, back in Angel Snore, Billy made a Weather Modulator for the Aquitains, it gets destroyed by some Tengas and Lord Zedd plans to bring the Alien Rangers' main baddie, Hydro Hog to Earth to finally defeat them. But luckily, Alpha is able to block him from coming to Earth for now. Anyway, this is the best episode of the mini-series, focusing on character over half assed Alien Ranger bull crap. 2 more episodes!!! The series finale....let's go!
