Season 4, Episode 4: Target Rangers

Oh Rocky....how much I don't care about this character and his episodic predicament with this girl he's interested in for the most part when she keeps acting like a bitch!!! So you have a bland and STILL yet to be defined main character sharing scenes with a guest character that won't stop being condescending and mean. They're working on some software project at school which is making Rocky anxious because it's only an excuse to ask the girl out. I love the scene between Rocky and Adam as the walk home from school together....two extremely boring characters sharing a scene together as well. At least we get a decent morphed fight with some Cogs. I notice we probably aren't going to get much or any unmorphed fights this season. I mean I see why from a show stand point since the Cogs are probably the toughest foot soldiers to battle unmorphed (But in "Forever Red".....) and behind the scenes stand point as parents were complaining about the amounts of violence on the show but whatever.

Anyway, during the fight with Adam and Rocky, one of the Cogs steals Rocky's backpack that has the password to their project's software. The Cog uses the password to gain access to the software, on a floppy disc I might add (remember those??? lol :) and teleports to the junk yard to use the program to start up Mondo's latest monster. Silo, a machine built with missiles, jetpack and a variety of battle weapons. Also Mondo has his Cogs work on painfully upgrading Clank and Orbis to be able to make monster's grow. How you say??? Well the new method of growing monsters is Clank throwing Orbis on to a monster and shooting energy into to make it grow. Meh, I personally prefer a magic wand but whatever. When Silo begins attacking the city, the rangers are called into action by Zordon and morph (God, I love that Zeo morphing sequence!!! :) Anyway, they confront Mondo who introduces Silo to them. They begin to fight Silo but have a tough time beating him. Clank and Orbis make the monster grow and the rangers summon their Zeo Zords.

During the fight between Silo and the Zeo Megazord, the megazord is bitten in combat and captures the Zeo Megazord. He flies off with the megazord until they reach Earth's orbit and the megazord gets released as well as sucked into the gravity of it. Luckily, Billy and Alpha have been working on a new feature of the zords: The Zeo Battle Helmets. Billy quickly instructs the rangers on each of the helmets features: Zeo I Battle Helmet for Cannon Power, Zeo II Battle Helmet for Jet Power, Zeo III Battle Helmet for...Pyramid Power (Yeah...you read that right??? O_o), Zeo IV Battle Helmet for Gravity Power and finally, Zeo V Battle Helmet for Warrior Mode. The use each helmet mode to escape their captivity and impending doom from the sun. The return to Earth, to Mondo's hilarious reaction of taking back complimenting Silo for destroying them. They use more different helmet modes until they defeat Silo with the Zeo Megazord Saber.

Ohh am I suppose to mention Bulk and Skull or the terribly cheesy ending with Rocky and that girl....nope!!! Overall, it was a pretty good episode. As good as an episode focused on Rocky could get. I love the different Battle Helmets and their individual features. I notice their introducing the different aspect of the Zeo powers very nicely and it's already making the show very enjoyable! :)
