Well, since Rita and Zedd got married, it sure has reinvigorated the season with some fun!!! We yet another multiparter that promises to be more than just your average episode of Power Rangers as Rita, with her darling new husband's nice asking, summons the Wizard of Deception through the Ghost of Darkness to go after Tommy while he sends the rest of the rangers back in time. What's with all the time travel lately??? "Time Force" isn't for another 7 seasons writers! :P But I like the idea and concept behind the Wizard of Deception. He looks genuinely creepy with the fire effect within his face and he seems very powerful, able to create anything real out of anything imaginary. I'm glad they brought back the Green Ranger for this as I'm sure kids at the time wondered who would win in a fight: the new White Ranger or the O.G. Green Ranger. The way the episode ends promises for a decent match between the two.

Meanwhile, can I just say how awesome that unmorphed fight was with the Putties??!! O_O I have got to say that it's definitely the best unmorphed fight with the new team thus far with everyone getting their time to shine during the fight. As much as I find Adam and Rocky to be dull so far since their introduction, they sure are awesome fighters with Adam in particular doing an incredible butterfly kick to finish off a Putty. I wonder if all that fight choreography the actors did for the movie paid off because these unmorphed fights have seriously come a long way from the pitiful attempts at fighting from the early first season of the show. Also I like the set of the teens having an assignment about where back in time they would love to visit. It was a nice foreshadowing of what would happen to them eventually.

With the rangers trapped back in time in the late 1700s and for some reason having ally in a noble woman of the time, it's up to Tommy to face his evil counterpart by himself. Overall, "Return of the Green Ranger, Part 1" was a good start to this multipart episodes. I just hope the White Ranger vs Green Ranger fight is as good as I remember them. Also, the Wizard of Deception's annoyance over Bulk and Skull's idiocy was just priceless...lol!!!
