Season 3, Episode 22: Follow That Cab!

Well, we are briefly back to filler for one episode but "Follow That Cab!' is pretty useless besides 3 reasons: 1) Kimberly gets excited about a world famous Gymnastics coach coming to Angel Grove because it's always been her dream to meet him. This of course, continues to set up Kimberly's departure from the series as Amy Jo decided to call it quits during this season. It will make sense for Kimberly to get wrapped up in her gymnastics training as she has been practicing a lot more this season than the last. Frequently seen doing so outside of her ranger duties which is just great foreshadowing on the writers' part.

2) This episode begins to show us a bit of Katherine's humanity as when Rita calls Katherine an "evil girl", we get  a flashback of Katherine pre-evil spell when she was a child. It makes you interested and more intrigued in her backstory on how she become evil and began working for Rita. I just am really liking this story and the show finally exploring an arc that just feels more serious and well structured than the episodic none-sense we've been getting for the passed two seasons.

Lastly, this episode introduces the Shark Cycles for the rangers. The first ever motorcycle weapons for a ranger team, the Shark Cycles are fine if not a bit silly looking but then again, it's Power Rangers, so what are you gonna do. But besides that, like I said, the episode is a waste. The fact Bulk and Skull are so dumb they don't notice a car robber in broad daylight just infuriates me as well as them helping Kimberly track down the guy that stole her car. The zord battle was cool as we got to see a cool finisher by the Shogun Zords. But besides that....nothing really to see here folks!!!
