Well, after a run of some of the franchise's best episodes at this point, we go back to usual with this episode: silly premise, even sillier monster, etc. What makes it a little bit better is seeing Kat use the Pink Ranger powers for the first time. When she overhears Rita's latest plan due to the residual nature of the spell she cast on her, Kat rushes to try to save Tommy at the Youth Center before facing off against a squad of Tengas on her lonesome and morphs into the Pink ninja ranger. It's just fun seeing a new ranger in action using powers, yes, we've already seen before but Kat's excitement over it is just so cute, especially when she morphs with the group for the first time during their fight with Ravenator.

I have to say though, Rita's plan was rather dumb, I mean using a monster to make Tommy excessively eat is...well.....just stupid. I mean it's a plan that didn't make sense to me until Zordon mentioned not being able to teleport Tommy to the Command Center with a monster inside of him since they would be bringing a monster who could easily destroy the Command Center. Also, there's this forced message with this kid named Danny that Tommy is teaching karate too. I mean the kid's a decent actor but the whole message of eating right just comes off waaaayy too unnatural when it's ok to eat what you want sometimes, it's all about how much of it you eat. It's ok to indulge a little when it comes to food, it's just all about your portions. I mean didn't they know that in the 90s!!!? O_o

Anyway, after they get the monster out of Tommy, the rangers face off against it until Rita and Zedd make it grow with their staffs. They summon the Shogun Zords and for the first time we see the Pink Ranger co-pilot the White Shogun Zord with Tommy. They form the Shogun Megazord and defeat Ravenator with the fire sword. The episode once again concludes about some dumb message about believing in yourself and what not, ehhhh. I just didn't care for this episode outside Kat's first episode as a ranger and seeing her in action as well as the ramifications of the Rita's spell on her. That's about it!
