Air Date: September 24th, 1994

Ehhhhh, I'm just becoming so impatient with this season as I know what's about to happen but the writers keep having the rangers meander about with these fillers episode instead of the main plot of the season being address fully: Lord Zedd after Tommy's weakened powers. The episode starts off with Trini, Kimberly and Tommy at the beach. With them is some irritating little girl named Hallie, who again, can't act for sh!t!!! Oh also Bulk and Skull are there...being idiots....what a surprise!! O_o Lord Zedd, watching as usual gets the idea that he will send Goldar and some Putties to snatch the girl. As Haley heads off, Trini notices Richie passing by and says hi to him.....practically annoying Tommy and Kimberly when they ask her about Hallie. Suddenly they hear Hallie scream! O_O As they follow the sounds of her screaming, they find her captured by Goldar and Putties who teleport away with her. Apparently Goldar left a bottle with a note in it as Trini questions if Lord Zedd took Haley for ransom. As Tommy opens the bottle, a blaze of fire comes out and leaves a message in the sand.

Back at the Command Center, as the rangers, Alpha and Zordon try to decipher the message, Zordon tells them that Hallie is probably on Venus Island, being held captive by Lord Zedd. Once the rangers decipher to message, they realize that Hallie is being held there for ransom for the Green ranger's powers. Unfortunately, Zordon has no way of finding the island as only Lord Zedd knows it's location. Zordon says that the only way find it is if....they some how find a way to follow the winds to Venus Island....yeah....so Billy makes a device that will follow the winds to the island as he, Jason and Trini let it go at the beach. Back at the Command Center, the rangers regroup there and figure out where the island is and must move quickly before Hallie is lost to them...forever!!! They teleport there and arrive an island full of Venus Flytraps...hence the name!!! They start searching for Hallie as Lord Zedd gloats about them falling for his trap as he summons the Invenusable Flytrap.

As the teens keep searching, they run into the Invenusable Flytrap. They morph and engage the monster, easily getting bested by it. The monster then traps 4 of the rangers inside of it and tells the remaining two that he will only return them if Tommy surrenders. Both Tommy and Trini say no way but as Tommy's powers begin to weaken, he and Trini teleport back to the Command Center to regroup. Back at the Command Center, Tommy is heavily drained by the attack and prepares to surrender himself to Lord Zedd to save the others. This is really the only part of the episode that feels well written for the show as Tommy goes, if only the others promise to not stop fighting if he's not able to resist Lord Zedd's control. It's another good moment for Tommy as well as the show, showing how selfless and sacrificing the rangers can be in the time of need. But before Tommy can leave Alpha has found a witness in the monster, that it is very vulnerable to intense heat. With this information, Tommy and Trini head back to fight the Inveusable Flytrap and some how, it's not explained, get information to the others inside the monster that they need to generate a lot of heat to get out. The 4 trapped rangers combine the power of their power coins and use it to start making heat inside the monster; which begins to make it weak. Tommy and Trini, seeing that it's working, also help by generating their own heat; leading to the rest of the rangers being freed.

Now with all the rangers free, they all attack, even combining their weapons to destroy the Invenusable Flytrap with their Power Blaster. After that, a furious Zedd decides to sink the island. As the island sinks, the rangers quickly head to where Hallie is and free her. Back at the Youth Center, sigh...Bulk and Skull are questioning her about what the Power Rangers look like and...turns out when the painter finishes his work....it's an picture of old renaissance aged men and women. The teens laugh as the episode ends. Overall, another filler/waste of an episode. I just want there to be plot movement again as we are just sitting around waiting for Tommy's powers to be lost...again! Also, this is the first episode where there is some missing ADR from the rangers in suits; already alluding to some cast members missing. More on that later! Anyway....
