Season 6, Episode 4: Shell Shocked

......YES.....THIS HAPPENED!!! -_-  And why??? Because during this time on FOX Kids there was also a series called "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation", also created by Haim Saban that completely butchered that franchise's mythology and the writers were forced to do this crossover due to the show's popularity.  Which I don't understand because apparently hardcore fans of TMNT HATED "Next Mutation", especially for the addition of Venus, a female turtle.  But if I must review this crap I'm gonna do it as fast as I possibly can.  After forcing them out of their sewer, Astronema, Elgar and the rest of forces arrive to force them to work for her.  The dialogue in this episode makes no sense as Venus knows who Astronema is but the turtles don't believe the Power Rangers exist!!! -_-  Anyway, when they refuse, she puts a spell on them to make them work for her.

Meanwhile, Andros is teaching the new Space Rangers about the Galaxy Gliders and how to use them when D.E.C.A. alerts the rangers to one of Astronema's monsters attacking.  They go to their jump ports and morph; riding on their Galaxy Gliders to Earth.  At the Power Plant,  the monster is absorbing electricity from it when the rangers arrive.  They fight it but he's too powerful for them....until the Ninja Turtles arrive and quickly beat the crap out of the monster until he's destroyed.  While most of the Space Rangers are excited and in disbelief as they interact with the turtles, Andros is apprehensive about the whole thing; not trusting them.  But the other rangers say they owe them for helping the out as the turtles ask them for a ride back to New York on their spaceship.  On the ship, the turtles keep asking questions about how the megaship works making Andros continue to not trust them. Soon the turtles reveal that their evil by reprogramming D.E.C.A. as Astronema and her forces land on the ship.  They capture all the rangers except for Andros who uses his telekinesis to help them escape.  The Space Rangers head to their jump ports and take the shuttle to escape.

As Astronema orders them to follow her, they run into some reverse polarize field thing and the spell over the turtles is broken.  Astronema orders the D.E.C.A. to self destruct the Megaship while she goes after the Space Rangers on a planet they landed on. Gotta love Astronema directly confronting the rangers numerous times now and even using her boomrang/chakram rip off of Xena to fight the rangers! :) Anyway, the turtles scramble to fix D.E.C.A. to stop the self destruction and they succeed.  They help the rangers fight off Astronema's forces and win the day! The episode ends with the turtles apologizing for what they did as the rangers knew it was because of a spell anyway.  The episode is just bad, one of the worst of the franchise.  It makes no sense that the Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles exist in the same universe but didn't know that they each other exist yet they know who Astronema is!?! O_o Ehhhhh, bad writing and a waste of an episode!
