Season 4, Episode 39: The Ranger Who Came In From the Gold
"The Ranger Who Came In From The Gold"
Episode 39
Air Date:October 31st, 1996
Meh, your typical episode of Zeo right here. Not that's out right bad but this episode just left me feeling rather bored with it. The basis of the episode is Louie Kaboom asserting his position as leader and ruler of the Machine Empire, which I just laugh at. Seriously, how does Louie just take over the Machine Empire when Queen Machina is the rightful leader since King Mondo is temporarily gone??? I mean I find Louie sooooo annoying, just running his mouth and whining while his plans suck. This time around, he plans to use his Midas Hound to turn everything in Angel Grove to gold by feeding on the greed of their inhabitants. I mean it isn't exactly a terrible plan but the execution of it stinks!!! Especially when he leaves Bulk and Skull to use it as they are at fault for the hound terrorizing the city by turning everything into gold.
Of course, once Jason turns into gold, the stakes get a little higher. I wonder how they got Austin St. John to stand there in stillness for so long covered in that gold paint??? O_o But anyway, while the other rangers take him to the Power Chamber, Tommy spies on Loue and the Cogs to see what their next move is. Apparently, as the Midas Hound turns more things into gold the stronger is becomes, especially when Klank and Orbus make it grow. It leaves the rangers with no choice but to call on their Super Zeo Zords to fight it. But once the Midas Hound turns most of their zords into gold, Tommy must call on the Red Battlezord to fight it. Meanwhile, Billy and Alpha finally return Jason back to normal as he heads out to Pyramidas to help Tommy and the others. Turns out when the Midas Hound is destroyed, inside of it is a Midas Monster. When he captures all the zords, the rangers retreat into their Zeo Zords and form the Zeo Megazord.
The Zeo Megazord frees the other zords as they all combine forces together to create the Zeo Ultrazord to destroy the Midas Monster. Meanwhile, Kat and Tanya debut their ballet at the Youth Center where Bulk and Skull make fools of themselves as usual. Also, Lord Zedd, Rita and the others spend the whole episode fixing a flat tire on their camper....yeahhhh.... I didn't like this episode. It was really boring to me and just blends into the background among the episodes of this season.
Final Morph: D
