And with that, a new adventure of Power Rangers begins with arguably one of, if not, the best season of the franchise. We open up right after the events of "Chase Into Space, Part 2" as all the villains from the previous 5 seasons all arrive on the Simerian Plant.  Hard to believe they are all there but Rita, Lord, the Machine Empire (Jesus, Mondo looks depressed!!! :(, Master Vile, even General Havoc....oh yeah, Divatox and her crew are there of course as she gloats about destroying the Power Rangers.  Sure, Divatox, you did your job right ONCE and now you think you're hot sh!t but in a few moments, a REAL villain is about to be introduced. :)  Anyway, Rita and Zedd literally bump into her and it's plain hilarious seeing Rita and Divatox get into. Clearly, Rita is upset and very petty when Divatox tells them she just destroyed the powers to the point she tries to blast Divatox with her wand....but the blast is intercepted by a mysterious and seriously badass new female villain who just stares down both Divatox and Rita and just walks away flicking the energy of the blast away like it was nothing. Jesus, she hasn't said a word yet and I'm already scared of her!!! O_O YIKES!!! When Divatox asks who she is, Elgar tells her she's Astronema, apparently the new Queen of Evil to Divatox's annoyance.  There's also a mysterious person is a cloak and hood walking around the villains; watching and waiting.

I gotta say, I LOVE the In Space theme.  The Turbo theme was great, don't get me wrong, but the In Space theme is just a lot more fun as I really enjoy the lyrics and music.  Definitely in my top 5 of Power Rangers theme songs. Meanwhile, on the shuttle, the 4 former Turbo Rangers are observing space while they notice Alpha 6 has lost the ability to speak.  Thank God!!! No more of his street talk non-sense for the moment.  Apparently, his voice chip was damaged during the Power Chamber explosion....NICE!!! :) Suddenly, the spot a massive spaceship about to hit them.  When T.J. tries to contact them, the spaceship opens up and pulls them into it's bay.  As the 4 teens and Alpha explore the Astro Megaship, the mysterious cloaked figure is discovered by all the villains as Dark Specter finally arrives (Oh hey Maligore!! Man, they really must have budget issues this season if they reused the Maligore costume like this!!! lol) The villain sends their generals and foot soldiers to attack.  We even get to see old Zedd get into the mix and strike the mysterious figure when Goldar reveals who is by taking off his cloak. It turns out to be to every's shock, a Red Ranger! :) The ranger makes a quick exit by calling on his "Galaxy Glider" and racing across Dark Specter, who tries to destroy him but he luckily gets away.  As Rita and Divatox hilarious bicker over who should go after him, Dark Specter tells them to pretty much shut up as he puts Astronema in charge of going after the spy and destroying him.

Meanwhile, back at the very awesome Astro Megaship, the former Turbos continue to explore the ship discovering it's holding bay, engine room, the synthetron and eventually it's bridge where they continue to wonder who brought them on board.  As the red ranger flies throughout space, Astronema's forces arrive behind him on space fighters to try and destroy him.  When he loses his weapon, he decides to rush the fighters and blast them with his blaster and destroys them both.  He retrieves his weapon and heads back to his ship.  Oh boy, this won't be pretty! As the Red Ranger arrives to see the former rangers on his ship, T.J. tries to reason with him and explain but he just runs off as the 4 run after him. When they finally run into him again, he tries to fight them off as they try to explain who they are.  Suddenly, the Megaship shakes do to Astronema's ship firing at them. The Red Ranger runs to the bridge as the former rangers are shocked by the presence of another ranger.  They head to engine room when engine is damaged and help fix; making the Red Ranger realize they were telling him the truth.  After a hard landing, the Red Ranger heads to the engine room and asks who they are.  T.J. tells them they are the Power Rangers of Earth as Astronema's forces arrive on the surface of the plant they just crashed on.  The Quantrons have got to be one of my favorite foot soldiers of any season; making even the Cogs look pathetic in comparison.  Thy equipped with armor, alien like helmets and large, razor sharp blades. Seriously, awesome!!! :)

As the Red Ranger prepares to face them, T.J., Cassie, Ashley and Carlos confidently head out with them as they run out of the Megaship charging into battle.  EPIC!!! Overall, this was a wonderful world building episode showing us the United Alliance of Evil, introducing us to a new ranger, continuing the storyline of the last season's finale and introducing us into some very promising new villains! Superb! :)
