"Vanishing Act"
Episode 24
Air Date: September 18th, 1997

This episode was pretty decent as it definitely proved to be a challenge for the Turbos! I'm so glad Justin immediately knew it was Divatox behind the vanishing people at the basketball court.  There's the smart, competent Justin we know and love! Well, at least some of us love! :P Translucitor was a cool monster of the week, able to make people, objects even buildings disappear at will.  I thought it was cool how he made even the Power Chamber disappear as it was a cool sequence of the rangers teleporting there and not being about to see Alpha 6 and Dimitria.  Of course, Translucitor was transporting everything in Angel Grove to an alternate dimension where everything is invisible.  Though it's not clear what the motivation behind Divatox's plan was but at least the days of her constantly planting detonators is behind us.

This episode also continues the Phantom Ranger's arc on the show as he appears twice to help the rangers.  Once to stop a squad of invisible Piranathron when they attack the rangers and a second time when Translucitor is sneaking up on Cassie and Ashley.  I really like how the Phantom Ranger just comes in, kicks ass, doesn't say a word and just vanishes.  I like how his invisibility ability gives him the power to see other invisible beings and able to stop them in their tracks.  Soon T.J., Carlos and Justin are captured by Translucitor; leaving the girls to have to come and save them.  Boy does that Turbo Navigator come in handy here.  I'm glad the writers introduced it earlier in the season so it would make sense in episodes like this. We introduced to it's Defender Mode as well as its Auto Blast Defender combination with the Auto Blaster.

The episode concludes with another cool zord fight as the Blue Senturion appears  with his Robo Racer to add the rangers in defeating the monster once and for all.  Oh Bulk and Skull are in this episode with their latest job in singing at kids' birthday parties.  Can't these two do anything right???Oh wait, I'm talking about Bulk and Skull, when have they do anything right. Also, why not explore their new relationship with the new team.  Suddenly they know who they are??? Also, what's up with the dialogue that makes it seem like the rangers didn't know who the Phantom Ranger was at first???  I know they did but don't know who he is under the helmet but BAAAHHH!!! It was weird!!! O_o Anyway, "Vanishing Act" was a decent episode from the season with a cool villain even with the clunky dialogue.  It was cool seeing the rangers having to figure out how to save the day on their own for once too so not bad.

Final Morph: C+
