Season 5, Episode 21: The Wheel of Fate

"The Wheel of Fate"
Episode 21
Air Date: September 15th, 1997

Okay, this was a MUCH more fun episode!!! Divatox is after two living cars aka Lightning Cruiser and Storm Blaster, when she discovers the map to their wehereabouts in space.  She sends her latest monster, Dreadfeather (not a bad name all things considered!), after them and he accidentally finds them but they escape and head for Earth.  On Earth, in Angel Grove, T.J. and Justin spot the cars landing while Divatox's forces try to tame the cars.  It's just hilarious watching them get owned by cars, lol!! The super cars escape and head for T.J. and Justin; almost running them over.  When they discover the cars have no driver, they wonder what's going on until Elgar and the rest of Divatox's forces arrive.  They fight but Dreadfeather manages to capture Justin and Storm Blaster.....so you're not gonna try to capture T.J. and Lightning Cruiser???  After T.J. and Lightning Cruiser have a tough time getting along, T.J. finally has enough and jumps into the car, speeding so much that he activates the car's impressive looking jet mode.  Meanwhile, the other 3 rangers are looking for Justin at the Power Chamber; realizing he is being kept at an abandoned warehouse.

T.J. is contacted by the others and morphs; heading to the warehouse while the other 3 rangers morph and head there as well.  The 3 Turbos sneak around the warehouse as Carlos gets the idea to trick the Piranathron by luring them away and surprising them with an attack.  They defeat them and try to use the Turbo RAM Cannon mode to blast their way inside but it doesn't put a dent in the door.  It's up to T.J. as he flies Lightning Cruiser closer to the warehouse. Meanwhile, while Justin is held captive and chained by a Piranathron, Elgar and Dreadfeaher torture Storm Blaster.  Of course, Justin escapes and tricks Elgar into freeing him so he can morph but he is severely outnumbered.  Justin does his best to fight them off just as T.J. arrives with Lightning Cruiser.  Storm Blaster forces Justin into it as it connects to Lightning Cruiser and escapes with Storm Blaster through the roof.  As Divatox arrives and gives them their own car to go after them, Lightning Cruiser and Storm Blaster officially recruit themselves to the team; even sporting the Turbo insignia from now on.

What follows is a series of cool chase sequences and fight scenes between the rangers and Divatox's forces.  Mostly American footage too, thank god!!! After defeating her forces and destroying Dreadfeather, the ranger official welcome the cars to their team.  Meanwhile, Bulk and Skull are given a chance to work again, this time at directing traffic at a construction site and in the end get themselves stuck in cement. LOL Of course they would.  Overall, "The Wheel of Fate" is a good episode that that's very entertaining by introducing two new vehicles to the rangers' arsenal with some of the best action so far this season! Nice! :)
