Awwww, poor Rocky!!! :( Feeling like he's going to be replaced by a far more superior character than he is!! What?! It's true!!! God, I love this episode and will continue to adore it simply for that fact. Rocky has every right to feel jealous of Jason. He was one of the original Power Rangers, not to mention the first leader of team and since Rocky replaced him, he really hasn't made himself into of the most noticeable rangers. He and Adam just say lines when they need to but fade into the back all the same. I'm glad this episode finally explored a characteristic of Rocky's I would believe: when an old friend returns and is getting more attention than you are. Of course it doesn't always work, I mean him going after Mondo by himself was stupid given why he did it; just to prove himself but I guess every ranger is allowed to make dumb mistakes every now and then.

Meanwhile, I'm glad Mondo, for once, said f^&* it and went after the rangers himself this episode by summoning the Damocles Sword, an ancient weapon he used thousands of years ago and will use it to destroy the rangers once and for all. I like the introduction of this weapon and the zord fights this episode were really awesome. While I said Rocky going after Mondo himself was dumb, seeing his Super Zeo Zord get beaten like that by Mondo was brutal but it lead to the final battle between the rangers and Mondo in the Super Zeo Megazord. I LOVE the Super Zeo Megazord and the clever way it forms. The fight scene between the megazord and Mondo was really great; especially seeing the Super Zeo Megazord finisher that literally cuts Mondo in half....ouch!!! Stunning visual though!

In other news, Rito and Goldar are transported to the moon and met up with Lord Zedd and Rita who are....driving around in a camper??? O_o Anyway, it's just nice to see them back again; beginning to plot their way back into becoming the rangers' main enemies again. Also there is a brief side plot where Jason has to go find a power booster in the junkyard while fending off a squad of Cogs. I just hope this doesn't become the majority of Jason's role as the 6th ranger this season....oh boy! Either way, "Mondo's Last Stand" is another excellent episode that actually moves the plot along, introduces us to a new megazord and sees the old villains coming back to reclaim their glory! Wonderful! :)

Final Morph: A
