Season 2, Episode 6: Bloom of Doom

Meh!! This episode didn't hold my attention like I thought I would. I only thing I REALLY enjoyed was seeing Kimberly all jealous and b!tchy at everyone, especially Trini. LOL But other than that, it's about as generic as an episode of Power Rangers gets during these early seasons! The episode starts off it being Club Day at Angel Grove High as the teens are showing off their individual clubs.....to which I say...HOW??? -_- How the hell do these teens have time to save the world and do all of these extracurricular activities on top of that!!! Jesus!! Anyway, Trini's club is getting mobbed by people while Kimberly's club doesn't have anyone at it. She tries to be supportive of Trini, but clearly she's a bit envious and sad that her club doesn't have anyone who wants to join. Meanwhile, Lord Zedd is watching figures out that he will make Kimberly jealous of Trini to turn on her.....once again, the villains go for pettiness instead of straight evil plans. I mean what is Kimberly being jealous of Trini really gonna do in the long run??! O_0 Exactly how will their loss of friendship cause a rift in the team and destroy them....like I said...meh!!!

Anyway, Bulk and Skull's club is some filming/recording club as they're still trying to find out the identity of the Power Rangers and decide to make fun of Kimberly about her not getting anybody to join her club. Oh and Zack is busy dancing for his Hip Hop Kiddo class....O_O...anyway...Zedd tells Goldar to pour the jealousy potion onto a cactus plant he will switch with Kimberly's and does so. Goldar gives it to a Putty and he teleports away to Zedd's content. Once outside the Youth Center, the Putty turns into a very shady looking guy, even for the 90s and enters. While Ernie is trying to cheer Kimberly up at the Juice Bar, the Putty switches the plants. As Kimberly makes her way back to her post, she accidentally pricks herself and begins her jealous rant on Trini. The others, epecially Trini are shocked by her behavior and wonder what's up with her. Kim then yells at Bulk and Skull for people signing up for their club and she storms off. Ernie tells Tommy to give her some flowers, but when Tommy hands it to her, she hates them and says she's sick of them as well as Trini.

Meanwhile at the park, Trini is teaching her Volleyball club when Tommy and Jason arrive to ask her what's up with Kimberly. Trini isn't sure as Tommy suggests they go back to the Youth Center to figure things out between them. Meanwhile, Kimberly is at her garden, telling herself why she is wasting her time with plants when Lord Zedd, watching over her, tells his minions about the monster he's about to unleash on her: the Bloom of Doom.....sigh, there have been worse names. So Zordon and Alpha contact the rangers and they each morph into action. I love it when Kimberly is contacted and she gives Zordon attitude and is so impatient. Alpha teleports to her a wrapping stick to hold the monster as it's the key to defeating it. Kimberly than morphs in the most annoyed and pettiest of ways, lol!! The rangers arrive and fight off some Z-Putties until they are faced with the Bloom of Doom. It spays it toxic pollen on the guy rangers leaving Kimberly and Trini to stop the monster. Kimberly, annoyed with Trini, uses the wrapping stick and captures the monster when an over zealous Trini tries to help and accidentally lets the monster get away. The Bloom of Doom reappears and fights the girls until it traps Kimberly in an inter-dimensional wrap.

With Kimberly trapped with the Bloom of Doom, the other rangers head back to the Command Center and figure out that Kimberly is under a spell by Lord Zedd. Meanwhile, in the inter-dimensional wrap, Bloom of Doom is attacking and taunting Kimberly telling her that her friends will never come do to her jealousy. This is the part of the episode I blank out on as Trini must go when there is an opening in the inter-dimension thing and arrives to save Kimberly. Yay!!! The spell is suddenly broken and they're friends again!!! :) The two rangers attack the monster as the other rangers arrive and they form the Power Blaster. They fire and destroy the Bloom of Doom for good! Awwww, no zord fight??? :( Anyway, Zedd is all mind and is like next time he'll get the rangers....sure buddy.... Meanwhile, it turns out it was Caplen's fault that people didn't know about Kimberly's club. She gets a good number of people to sign before Bulk and Skull arrive to suck. Anyway, this episode was alright! The only entertaining thing about it though was Amy Jo's performance of being so jealous of Trini. It was actually hilarious and fun to watch! Other than that, your typical Power Rangers episode.
