Football puns!!! SOOOOOO many football puns!!! Ehhhhhh, I'm ready for this season to be over. I'm sick of Rita coming up with her typical pathetic schemes that have to do with what the teens are doing for the week and trying to use that against them. Over 50 episodes of this crap and I can't take it anymore!!! Ewwww, so Tommy wants to be on the Football team; at least Jason thinks he should try out but Tommy thinks he's not good enough (I'm sure some how he will be good at it by the end of the episode because these teens can do no wrong after all, urgh!!!) Bulk wants to try out but makes a fool of himself as usual; in front of Caplen. Rita gets an idea to use her latest monster, the Rhinoblaster, against the rangers by making up her own football team. How nice!!! -_-  Back at the Juice Bar, Kimberly and Trini visit Tommy and ask what's wrong. He tells them about the football tryouts and they try to cheer him up when Ernie comes over and tells Tommy he use to be a star football player back in college. Tommy, all excited, wants Ernie to train him and he agrees to on the spot. The girls are heading to the park for some flag football with the guys and invite Tommy but he wants to start training with Ernie. Love Kimberlys cute "goodbye Tommy" to her future man! ;)

Anyway, at the park, the 5 teens play some flag football while Tommy is busy sucking at football training with Ernie. Back at the park the teens are doing obnoxious, unnecessary flips while playing as Goldar suggests they send the Putties down to get some practice in before the big game. The Putties attack and one catches the ball. While Billy gets the ball after fighting off two Putties, he runs toward the touchdown while the other 4 fight off the Putties. The Putties beaten; disappear, while the teens celebrate. Zordon soon contacts them and they teleport to the Command Center immediately for heavy exposition for the 50th something time!!! -_- Zordon shows them the monster and how powerful he is before they morph and prepare to face the monster and Rita's team of Puttie in football gear. With Rhinoblaster as coac he leads his team in a fight against the rangers or rather a game and they get beaten. Worse he traps them in some multi dimensional vortex place that apparently they can't get out of/ With the rangers seemingly trapped forever, Zordon and Alpha contact Tommy to help. He teleports to the Command Center after he finishes his workout with Ernie and immediately morphs wanting to help his friends. Tommy owns the football player putties and takes on Rhinoblaster until Rita makes him grow.

Tommy then summons Dragonzord and has it fight Rhinoblaster with it having a difficult fight against the monster. Back at the Command Center, Alpha tells Zordon that the key to freeing the rangers is Tommy's dagger being thrown into the vortex to the others. Zordon contacts Tommy and does so by pretending to want to surrender and wanting to be captured by a monster. As he sprays Tommy, Tommy gets out of the way, throws the dagger into the vortex and jumps into Dragonzord to continue the fight against Rhinoblaster. Unfortunately, the Dragonzord is taken down by the monster and Tommy falls out of his zord cockpit; calling out for the others to help. Finally they in the megazord, free and ready to help Tommy. Tommy brings the Dragonzord back up and they form the Mega Dragonzord to destroy Rhinoblaster. Long story short, all the guys make the time, even Bulk and Tommy makes Captain. Yes, because he became so good after a couple of training sessions to be the starting quarterback of a high school team!!! -_- Ewwwwww, I just.....next episode.....
