Season 1, Episode 24: The Spit Flower

You know, Rita's plans are getting more petty than evil at this point. O_o Instead of out right trying to destroy the rangers, she's just being more of a b!tch and messing up their stuff now. Poor Kimberly! The Putties coming out of no where and messing up her float. I mean Jesus...just try to kill (or destroy) her like any other cheap, over the top 90s villain. But it's all apart of her plan to release the Spit Flower, a monster that can suck flowers into it's mouth and spit them out; turning them into energy sucking blossoms....seriously, I don't know who to blame for this laughable monster, the writer of Power Rangers or the creator of Sentai, Toei. I'll just blame both because the writers of Power Rangers chose to adapt this crap. Anyway...

After Kimberly is all broken up about her model for her float getting destroyed, Tommy gets an idea to cheer her up while the other rangers decide to take her out for lunch to cheer her up. But Spit Flower has already been sent to Angel Grove and begin sucking up flowers everywhere. The rangers teleport to the Command Center after being contacted by Zordon and Zordon tells them about the newest threat.  The rangers morph into action and fight the flower monster, which gets the upperhand and using his deadly flowers (seriously!) to weaken the rangers. While Tommy is working on something at Billy's house (really Tommy, you don't have your own place! I guess the budget was wasted on what Bulk and Skull should be hit with next??? Maybe more pies? Or a beehive???) Anyway, Zordon calls Tommy to aid the rangers and he does so. Gotta love he's able to defend the other rangers from a giant monster with his flute blast. Shame he doesn't use that more often!

The rangers then call on their zords and we get to see the Mega Dragonzord again (I still prefer the name, Dragonzord Fighting Mode) But the zord is having trouble with Spit Flower to the point that Zordon has to force the rangers into a retreat back at the Command Center. Seriously, what is will Zordon doing this all the time. Forcing the rangers back to the Command Center during an attack and THEN telling them a new way to defeat the monster of the week instead of telling them in the first place!!! Jesus!!! -_- Anyway, Zordon tells them the monster's flower sack (uhh huh) is his weak spot and Jason asks Kimberly if she can hit it with her Power Bow. She says she and Tommy is left behind because there's no footage of him for the last fight as the rangers teleport back out there. Kimberly weakens the monster with her bow and the rangers finish him off with their Power Blaster.

Now with the monster gone, Tommy asks Alpha to help him with his project at Billy's house (It's freakin' Billy's house, the weirdo). Tommy gets all made at Alpha cause he is getting stuff wrong to the point he gets the glue bottle stuck to his hand. Back at the Youth Center (the next day), everyone is watching the parade. Billy is watching it with binoculars, when he should be worried how the fuck Tommy got into his house!! But awww, Kimberly's float got into the parade after all thanks to Tommy, NOT the others, so why everyone said surprise is beyond me. Good job Tommy! That's one way to get into her pink ranger pants! ;)

Overall, it's another filler. Didn't really care for the plot or the monster really but there have been weaker episodes so....
