Well, that was just fun!!! Ending this mini-series is the climatic showdown between the rangers and the Green Ranger! The episode opens with doubts that Tommy could really be the Green Ranger...to which I say, "Wow, the new kid who also does karate like us and wears green all the time couldn't be the Green Ranger, no freakin' way!!! Seriously!?! O_O Anyway, Alpha say Tommy is under a spell and the rangers come to the conclusion to find him to try to reason with him so they can break the spell. Alpha figures he can bring Zordon back, even though last time Billy was like there was little chance of him being brought back but I'll go with it since I kind of miss the whole floating head dude!

Meanwhile, Rita is getting ready to unleash the Green Ranger's own zord onto the world for him to command. At the Youth Center, skipping over Bulk and Skull again, Kimberly finally finds Tommy thanks to Ernie and she confronts him. I just love these confrontations between Evil Tommy and Kimberly. I like how he just nonchalantly accepts Kim knows the truth and just threatens her as well as the rest of the rangers! I'm gonna miss Evil Tommy! lol Rita finally summons the Dragonzord and that first appearance is just beautiful! I wish I still had that toy as a kid. Watching he destroy everything in sight is cool; only problem is everytime that thing rises the editors just use the same footage all. the. TIME!

Anyway (I say that a lot! I know!), the rangers regroup at Billy's place and Kimberly tells them Tommy means business as they put the pieces together of why he's been acting weird and why the Putties didn't attack him from before.  Trini runs in and tells the rest of the rangers about the Dragonzord attack and they morph into action!! I like how they have no idea how bad the situation is with the monster and they have no zords but just morph and try to save the day anyway. There's a reason why these kids were chosen to be superheroes I tell ya!  Also, I love seeing Tommy using the Dragon Dagger for the first time and playing that iconic tune.  The direction of the Sentai footage is also impressive like that shot of the Green Ranger flipping off Dragonzord and to the building high above the building the rangers are on.  As Tommy orders Dragonzord to defeat the rangers, Zordon comes back thanks to Alpha's effort. God....not even a minute back and Zordon delivers more heavy exposition on how to break the spell and save Tommy.  Apparently, destroying the Sword of Darkness will do that....but Rita's spell didn't need the Sword of Darkness in the first place, so this kinda doesn't make sense but whatever! With Zordon back, the rangers' power coins glow and they teleport into the craves into the Earth as their zords rise again!  Jason's Tyrannosaurs and Tommy's Dragonzord go head to head for a cool little fight before the rangers bring their 5 zords together. They little tosh Tommy's zord around until it's unable to fight anymore. Tommy's "No Way" is unintentionally hilarious and NOT Jason David Frank's voice but not only that, Jason some how got the message from Zordon that destroying Tommy's evil sword will break the spell....when...how....oh well!

What happens next is another one of my favorite fight sequences from the show when Tommy and Jason fight each other. Awesome choreography, decent effects and the sight of Jason taking his own blasts because of Tommy deflecting it with his Dragon shield is EPIC!!! But Jason gets the upper hand and destroys the sword, breaking the spell! Yay! For the first time, we get to see the rangers demorph on screen and Jason helps Tommy up. He gives him a brief yet moving speech about why he should join them and Tommy finally agrees. Zordon and Alpha rejoice as the apparent prophecy has been fulfilled with the 6th ranger joining the team.  The 6 rangers morph and we get the first new morphing sequence with Tommy now included. "Dragonzord!" YAAASSSS!!! The rangers quip and pose for the camera as Tommy's dagger floats to him. Zordon tells them now with Tommy on their side comes new powers as the Dragonzord can combine with the Mastodon, Sabertooth Tiger and Triceratops to form Dragonzord Fighting Mode. It's an awesome sequence and I get chills everytime!

Rita is pissed she lost and the rangers rejoice that Zordon is back at the Command Center.  Gotta love Zordon praising Alpha and the rangers for hanging in there in his absence. Then Zordon lays down the rules of being a ranger to Tommy as Billy even gives him his own communicator.  Time for a new group huddle and jump!

Great conclusion to the mini-series with fun fight scenes, tense moments and a nice addition to the series with Tommy. These episodes really did an awesome job of finally moving the plot along and extending the mythology of the series even though most of it was jumbled. Would have been nice to know more about how Rita got the Green Power Coin, the Dragonzord's conception, etc. But I'll take what I can get!
