Season 1, Episode 33: The Yolks On You!

Forget these episodes not having plot movement, these episodes are starting to have absolutely no plot!! O_O It's getting harder to review these episodes because it's like reviewing the same episode over and over!!! My goodness, this show was so repetitive!!! So the rangers are getting ready for the Angel Grove Talent Show and Tommy goes off to get his black belt or his and Jason's black belts... whatever! Meanwhile, Finster decides to send a monster down to kill (oh I'm sorry, destroy) the rangers!!! Rita's all excited because he sent a monster down for her birthday, which is glossed over at best. The Fang monster is all hyper and starts running around...because. Rita sends Goldar, Squat and Baboo down to help him...also because!

Meanwhile, Tommy's all excited for the talent show to the point he swing kicks a tree...WOW!!! Rita is all pissed and wants to Putties to be sent down to stop him. Tommy is then surrounded by Putties and they attack. He kicks their asses...except for one that gets his communicator. He chases after it and gets caught in some lame trap with a net. He then loses his morpher. Back at the Youth Center, the rangers are worried about Tommy but doesn't stop them from making jokes about it. But they get serious when Zordon contacts them and they teleport to the Command Center. At the Command Center, Zordon tells them about Tommy....and instead of sending the rangers to save him, he insists they deal with the monster instead. What is with Zordon always thinking Tommy can save himself and the rangers don't need to save him. I know why the writers are doing it and it's a stupid reason!! -_-

Oh, meanwhile, during all of this Goldar, Baboo and Squatt stumble upon the monster's eggs to which Squatt and Baboo eat...gross!!! Fang finds them and his empty eggs and it pissed!! He actually starts to attack Goldar, Squatt and Baboo, thinking the episode is gonna get interesting....but Rita intervenes and tells him to attack the Power Rangers. The rangers morph into action and pretty much get their asses handed to, with Goldar helping to blast them away. I also like seeing Fang throw boulders at the rangers!! Ha!! So the rangers fall off a cliff and are left there...for some reason.  Then we see Fang still upset about his eggs. Rita comes and tells him if he destroys the rangers, she'll restore his eggs back; even using her magic to show him. She then makes him grow and the rangers then summon their zords. They form the megazord but it's not enough to beat him.  Rita tells him to then go to the Angel Grove Dam and destroy it.

During all of this Tommy is making his way out of the net because the Putties are too dumb to check on him. He swings, kicks them and beats them. He gets his morpher and communicator back in time to morph and call Dragonzord. Dragonzord fights Fang at the Dam and the rangers eventually form the Ultrazord. The Ultrazord fires and destroys Fang. Back at the Talent Show, Jason and Tommy make it back just in time for their act....which is dumb....but not as dumb as Bulk and Skull rocking out and embarrassing themselves. There's one reaction in the audience that just sums it all up!! lol

Ehhh, this episode is meh.  Didn't like Fang or the whole eggs subplot. Would have liked it if he attack Goldar and the others but nope. Why make the episode interesting if it's not going to go there. Meh!!
