Season 7, Episode 26: Mean Wheels Mantis

Uhhh huh....sure Maya, you can teach people how to understand the Galactabeasts! Wooopty freakin DOOOO!!! -_- Anyway, after that embarrassing moment of bonding between her and Leo, Deviot introduces Trakeena and the others to Motor Mantis, apparently the perfect monster defeat the rangers. And it's hard to see otherwise when he attacks Kendrix and Maya by owning them with his motorcycle.  He then turns them into trophies as the guys arrive on their Astro Cycles.  You know, I'm still kinda pissed about that girls didn't get Astro Cycles too but anyway.  Anyway, Motor Mantis will give them the girls back if he beats them in a race around the dome.  The guys refuse but when Motor Mantis charges right through them, they decide to chase after him and race.  I will say what I like about this episode is instead of the standard fight scenes, we get motorcycle racing instead which is refreshing.

As the three rangers catch up with him, Motor Mantis cheats by first setting a trap for Kai that knocks him off his cycle, then when Damon goes after him, he causes a rock slide that knocks him off his bike as well.  With Leo the only one left, he tries his best to beat Motor Mantis but he blasts Leo's cycle and he jumps in front to win the race.  Leo, of course, is pissed he cheated and wants a rematch but Motor Mantis just leaves with Kendrix and Maya.  As Leo is disappointed he let everyone down and couldn't save the girls, that night the guys are frustrated about the situation as they try to fix the Astro Cycles.  Leo is adamant about finding a way to save the girls while Kai and Damon work on their bikes.  As Leo thinks about what to do next, he hears Motor Mantis in the distance then the Lion Galactabeast.  He heads over to it, wondering what it's telling him as he tries to remember what Maya told him aka "With your HEART!!!" -_- Ehhhh, anyway, Leo finally understands him as he needs more power from his cycle.  Leo sneaks back onto the Megaship and takes his Astro Cycle while Kai and Damon are fast asleep.

Leo rides to the same dome as before to challenge Motor Mantis.  He arrives but wonders why he should race him again after winning. Leo tells him he will give him his Quasar Saber if he wins; to which Motor Mantis agrees.  As they prepare to race, they set down the each item before going onto their bikes.  As they race, Motor Mantis does all that he can to beat Leo from jumping onto his bike, knocking him into objects and blasting him. As Motor Mantis is once again about to win, he remembers what the Lion Galactabeast says and taps into more power to create the Red Capsular Cycle from his Astro Cycle.  He speeds passed Motor Mantis and wins! But when Motor Mantis won't accept defeat, Leo destroys him with the cycle's fireball mode.  Soon Kendrix and Maya return to normal as Damon and Kai arrive to congratulate Leo.  As Leo tells them about the new cycle, Motor Mantis grows as they must call on their Galactabeasts for help.  They form the Galaxy Megazord and destroy him with the Condor Galacatbeast Missile Mode.  YAH, YAH, YAH, Maya, Leo understood the Lion Galactabeast, which means you actually useful in something other than "sensing something in the air" you basic jungle b!tch!!! -_- Anyway, this episode was pretty decent.  Nice action in introducing another weapon for Leo in the rangers' arsenal but that's about it.
