Ahhhh, I love villain intros during these seasons of the Saban Era, especially since during the season the villains have been improving and God, do I love the introduction of Deviot. Like Darkonda, he would become one of the most deceptive, manipulating and twisted villains of the franchise. But before he would show his true colors, he arrives on the Scorpion Stinger with an offer for Scorpius as he has for him 3 powerful zords he can use against the rangers...in exchange for entering the cocoon. Of course, Scorpius ain't haven' that sh!t until he can prove that these zords are so powerful and Deviot agrees to test them out against the rangers to show him. Meanwhile, the science division on Terra Venture is trying to decode the Galaxy Book but are having trouble doing so when Commander Stanton asks how their research is going.\
Meanwhile, Damon is trying to fix Kai's....uhhhh...colony car thing...until they are attacked by Deviot himself. But one wonders why Kai left dinner on the stove if he was gonna his place??? That's dangerous buddy!!! -_- Anyway, after introducing himself, Kai and Damon morph and try to fight Deviot but he is a formidable fighter who beats them easily in battle; blasting them away until they fall over. After taking them away, Kai and Damon wake up on a foreign planet with collars on their neck and wrists, Deviot tells them they will fight for him to generate enough energy to power his zords. When they resist, Deviot orders a Sting Winger to use the controller on the machine as it forces them to fight. As the Sting Winger raises the strength of the machine, they continue to fight as they can't resist. After they tire out, Deviot is frustrated and says they will only take a break for a moment; kicking over Kai in the process. Ha!!! I love Deviot already!!! Oh Maya has been talking to the Galactabeats and goes to visit Kendrix. Kendrix shows her what she discovered after Maya mentions sensing something similar to when they met the Galactabeasts. Turns out there are 3 more Galactabeasts out there....hmmmm...and there are 3 zords out there that Deviot apparently has control over.....
Anyway, when Leo arrives at the guy's place with Kai's dinner burning, Maya and especially Kendrix soon arrive worried as Kai never showed up for command. When they try to contact them and get no answer, they track them down to the mysterious planet they were brought too. But not before Damon and Kai narrowly escape Deviot when Damon cleverly destroys his machine with his Quasar Saber. As they are cornered by Deviot and a squad of Sting Wingers, the other rangers arrive to help. As they fight, Deviot attacks Maya and Mike arrives to help as well. When all 6 rejoin, the 5 Galaxy Rangers summon the Lights of Orion. Mike goes for his finishing move on Deviot while the rangers use the power up mode. But instead of destroying him, Deviot uses the energy from their attacks to power up his zords, Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords! Uhhh ohh!! He orders them to destroy the rangers as they send a relentless energy blast at them. After the rangers and Magna Defender call for their individual megazords, the Galaxy Megazord and Defender Torozord just stand there. Of course anybody with a working brain cell would know that these evil megazords are the missing Galatacbeasts as Deviot gleefully states to himself but for some reason the rangers can't put two and two together. Seriously, huh!!!??? -_- Anyway, after getting their asses owned, Deviot orders his megazords to retreat to Leo's shock.
As Deviot returns and wants to enter the cocoon, Scorpius tells him to destroy the rangers first, to Deviot's frustration. Meanwhile, I love how Kai and Kendrix are just researching the Galaxy Book when it's pretty freakin' obvious the new zords are the 3 lost Galactabeasts but ok, lets end on a cliffhanger for the hell of it. Anyway, outside the dense nature of the rangers, this was a nice first parter as we are introduced to a promising new villain as well as a soon to be new arsenal of zords for the rangers. Not bad, not bad at all! :)
