Season 7, Episode 17: Stolen Beauty

Well, we had to have a stinker at some point as things were going a little too well.  Trakeena has been an interesting villain this season, probably the most interesting of all of them.  Furio sucked, Scorpius does nothing but lie there, Treacheron was intriguing, especially when he began feuding with Trakeena but that was for only one episode.  It's funny because Trakeena is the weakest of the villains, she can't fight, barely has any real power and just tries to manipulate everyone around her; especially her father.  So I don't understand why the first real episode to focus on her progression as a villain would be so bad.  "Stolen Beauty" is her attempt at using a monster named Crumummy to steal the beauty of all the women of Terra Venture.  Not a bad plot by any means, but not the most exciting and makes me kind of bored.  Doesn't help that the execution of it is rather poor.  Crumumy isn't exactly a great villain and is kind of idiotic.

Also Trakeena comes down to Terra Venture eventually and transforms herself into this stunning human female.  So....if she can transform herself into apparently the most beautiful woman any guy has ever seen then why does she need all the beauty on Terra Venture??? -_-  Anyway, she sets her sites on Mike and tries to poison him with a burger he buys from a bar....which is run by Bulk and Professor Phenomenous! Remember them??? Honestly why were they even brought in this season if we weren't gonna see them much...or almost at all??? Anyway, Trak....I mean Tracy is preparing to watch Mike die but for some reason because there's no more burgers, Mike has to stop eating...what??! -_-  Anyway, he has to meet the others and invites her along.  All the guys are of course smitten by her...uhh Kai...what about your crush earlier in the season...forgetting her name??? O_o  Anyway, as they head out, Crumummy attacks them and realizes Trakeena is among them.  He goes after Maya and Kendrix's beauty; leaving Mike to bring Tracy to safety and the other guys morphing.  I love how after the battle, Mike is more concerned about Tracy than Maya and Kendrix to the point where Leo has to stop him. But of course, this is a plot point that will be more elaborated on later.

Anyway, as Trakeena plans to poison Mike again, she is success this time as Crumumy returns to her with the beauty of all of Terra Venture.  But suddenly, Mike grabs it out of her hands and frees all the beauty....sigh.....As Trakeena is shocked he survived her poisoned drink, Mike admits he switched them as Leo arrives to help him.  As Tracy transforms back into Trakeena, Leo wonders how Mike knew and he said he figured it out when Crumummy didn't attack her.....ok??? O_o  Anyway, they both morph and fight as the rest of the rangers arrive to help.  In the middle of the fight, the rangers call on the Lights of Orion for help and Mike, along with Kendrix, defeat the Crumummy.  As Crumummy grows, the rangers and Magna Defender call on their zords to form the Defender Torozord and Galaxy Megazord.  They eventually combine forces to destroy Crumummy to win the day. Back at the Scorpion Stinger, Scorpius finishes a large cocoon for Trakeena to enter.  He says it will strip her of her mortal beauty and turn her into a powerful insect to which Trakeena is against.  When she tries to escape, Scorpius says she has no choice until she finally runs away and manages to teleport out of the Scorpion Stinger...anyway....the episode overall was lame and left me scratching my head a lot of times.  Completely boring and unnecessary! :P
