Season 14, Episode 23: Heir Apparent, Part 2
"Heir Apparent, Part 2"
Episode 23
Air Date: August 11th, 2006
Well, nice to see Udonna and Leanbow reunited after so long while the villains just watch this go now because their part of the script hasn't come yet. Seriously tho, I love how Nick is automatically like "Koragg is just trying to trick us". I mean I get the suspension of disbelief and he makes even more valid points later when they all debate about this but he just saved Udonna, just let the man speak before jumping to conclusions??? O_o Of course, Imperious is pissed off and shocked; so he tries to destroy Leanbow once again but the old Knight isn't rusty and is more powerful than you realize as he quickly uses a spell to teleport everyone to another dimension to be safe...for now. Meanwhile, back in the dimension of Lost Souls, Jenji managed to save ole Daggeron after all....by storing him in his nose and sneezing him out.....because MAGIC!!! o_O As Daggeron and Jenji figure out their next move to find the rangers before Imperious can carry on with the next phase of his plan, Lenabow explains to Udonna and the rangers that before he cast out the Master back into the underworld forever, he used the last bit of dark magic to turn Leanbow in Koragg, his newest servant with no memory of who he was and his past. Of course, Nick doesn't buy it as well as the rest of the rangers have trouble understanding which side Leanbow is still on just as Imperious finds them. With Udonna too weak and powerless, Leanbow quickly transports her back to Root Core while the others prepare for battle. Too bad the Master still has some control over Leanbow as Necroli grabs him and tells him the Master wants to see him while the rangers morph and deal with the Chimera monster.
As the rangers continue to get their magical a$$es kicked, Daggeron appears out of no where on a unicorn.....(meh, we've seen weirder! O_O) to help the rangers escape back to the mortal realm/world/Earth whatever. As Imperious tells the Chimera to chase after the rangers, Imperious challenges Daggeron to one last battle with just their swords and that rope thingy because knight stuff!!! O_o Back in mortal world, the Chimera rises up as Nick quickly uses Brightstar (the unicorn) to quickly form a new megazord like Daggeron said they could. Looks like Udonna was too late in stopping the rangers' Legend Warrior powers from being drained as back in the underworld, the Master begins to rise out of it to the surface. In some chess board dimension (I don't care to give it a name! -_-), Jenji referees the duel between Imperious and Daggeron as they transform into their ancient Mystic Mode and begin their final fight to the death!!! O_o Back in the surface world, Nick has summoned a brand new megazord in the form of the Phoenix Unizord (Not a bad name all things considered! :) and the thing is one again, a beauty in design. Unfortunately, during the fight as Nick is losing horribly and the rest of the rangers are forced out of their Dragon Formation, Koragg returns as the Master has once again turned Leanbow back into his faithful servant. After Nick surprisingly get his second wind and destroys the Chimera monster out of no where, he and Koragg continue their fight in their respective megazord forms. Meanwhile, Daggeron and Imperious continue to fight until imperious of course cheats and double crosses Daggeron (Gee, I didn't see that coming! -_-) I mean come on Daggeron, you're not fighting Koragg here, he is actually evil and will betray you, sheesh! O_o Luckily, Daggeron manages to outfight Imperious despite him using dark magic and destroy him. Awww man, I'm gonna miss Imperious, the only decent villain so far this season. But before Imperious completely turns to dust, he quickly warns Daggeron of a far greater evil on the horizon...DUN, DUN, DUN!!! o_o
As Nick and Koragg continue to fight on the ground now, I love it how the rangers are just spouting random commentary while Nick is getting his a$$ kicked by Koragg!!! The hell!!! O_o Back at Root Core, as Udonna beats herself up at the possible reality of the rangers and Leanbow/Koragg killing (destroying :P) each other, Clare gives her some inspiring words of wisdom that despite her losing her magic, she needs to still believe in it. Suddenly, Udonna realizes Nick's baby blanket is the same one she wrapped Bowen in.....NOW they figure it out! O_o Udonna quickly heads to the fight between Nick and Koragg as Koragg defeats Nick and prepares to destroy him but Udonna arrives just in time to reveal the truth to them all. Nick of course is in complete disbelief while the shocking truth breaks the Master's hold over Leanbow; reverting him back to normal once again. But unfortunately, the family reunion is cut short as the Master rises to the surface world, leaving Leanbow to finish what he started. As Udonna and the rangers watch in horror, Leanbow transforms back to his ancient Mystic Mode and drives the Master back to the underworld; seemingly banishing him and himself as his last words are for the rangers to carry on without him. As the forces of darkness are seemingly destroyed....for the moment, Daggeron and Nick continue to talk about the other confusion of his father being his greatest enemy the last couple months before Udonna arrives tell Nick to clean up Root Core. Jesus lady, you just found out he was long lost son like 10 minutes ago and you're making him do chores???! O_o What kind of Mommy Dearest!!? o_O Oh and Udonna's being all creepy about Leanbow coming back since she once thought he and her son were dead but they both came back, so she still has hope...awwwww, but stop being so cheerful about it! O_O All and All, "Heir Apparent, Part 2" is just a strong as its pretty superb Part 1. The whole prophecy of Nick being the greatest wizard of all time is a bit too Harry Potter-ish and comes out of no where, but the rest of the story was very action packed and just as surprisingly solid. But where does the rest of the season go from here??? Hmmmm....0_0
