WOW!!! Judd Lynn has been knocking out of the park with these holiday specials that are usually about as boring and awful as an episode of this show can get with some pathetic attempt at a holiday episode but is just Nickelodeon wasting time with two clip shows per season when I'm sure the budget isn't in that much jeopardy! Sigh....at least these holiday episodes for this show have kind of point to them in terms of actually being credible stories that could have even made good standalone episodes.  Of course, "Race to Rescue Christmas" is heavier on the holiday theme of the episode with Poisandra alongside Wrench and Curio confront Santa about giving them presents for Christmas but thanks to his Naughty or Nice machine (I mean...it's Christmas on Power Rangers, what do you expect??? :P), he and elves know they have been naughty...or rather Poisandra who is so upset, she orders Sledge's forces to steal the machine for her.  Now no child around the world will be able to get their presents from Santa.....leading to him frantically contacting the rangers to help him stop Poisandra so they can save Christmas. Of course, everyone but Chase is eager to save the day this time as he promised his little sister Chloe, he would make it home for Christmas and he might miss his flight because of his ranger duties.

I'm glad the writers continued with Chase's relationship with Chloe and I love how they followed through with her wanting him to come home for Christmas for the holiday special that was mentioned in "Rise of a Ranger". As the rangers track down Poisandra and her forces, her, Curio and Wrench set up shop in an old factory and try to use Santa's machine to see which one of them is worthy of getting presents.  It works as well as Poisandra did (what a shock!) but it leads to her getting an idea to track down the rangers' base via the machine to get their energems for Sledge.  As the rangers manage to find them thanks to Curio hilariously showing himself to the rangers while standing guard, the Vivix rise to fight them as all 6 morph to fight their way inside.  As Curio warns the two of the rangers being outside, Poisandra and Wrench have been going through each ranger to see if they can find footage of where their base might be.  When they get to Tyler and almost discover the T-Rex Statue entrance to their base, they are chased away as the rangers arrive just in time to stop them.  Back outside, the rangers cut them off as Poisandra hilariously sends one of Sledge's Blue prison guards to fight the rangers....only for Tyler to destroy him in seconds thanks to his Dino morpher combined with his saber. HA! After Sledge makes him grow, the rangers summon their zords and use the Dino Charge Megazord as well as Ptera Charge Megazord: Ankylo Formation to destroy the monster once and for all.

But even tho the rangers have saved Christmas and Santa is able to deliver all his presents to the children of the world, Chase is bummed about missing his flight as well as Chloe is saddened by her brother not being able to make it home for Christmas.  But fear not! This is a Christmas special after all as Santa not only arrives to thank the rangers at their base but take Chase home via his sled! ;_)  Awwwwww Chase and Chloe reunite at his home in New Zealand as Santa rides off into the Christmas night as he says thank you to ole Saint Nick.  Sigh......thoroughly enjoyed this episode as always. Very sweet, fun yet simple! That's how you do a clip show guys! :P
