You know.....on one end, I get needing to wrap up lingering plot threads from Season 1 with Robot Knight's disappearance and especially Vrak hanging around somewhere hiding since the armada arrived.  Tho, it would make MUCH more sense if Vrak assumed leadership of the armada instead of coming up with some elaborate scheme since then to destroy the Earth (I thought he wanted to conquer the Earth???? O_o) oh whatever!  But it's really bad storytelling when the armada suddenly disappears without a peep this episode and now the rangers are forced to battle an old enemy....conveniently without ANY of their Super Mega and legendary powers.  They explain that by Vrak kidnapping Orion and using his energy source as a way to cut off the rangers from those powers....but it just brings up more questions about where the hell do these ranger keys aka Super Mega mode and legendary powers come from!???  The season is almost over and we STILL have no backstory are the rangers' powers and how they have access to every ranger team's powers from the past and for some reason even the future or other dimensions! -_-  Maybe THIS would have been the best time to explain to the rangers how and why Vrak is able to do this since they can't access those powers but NOPE! The rangers just.....use their MegaForce powers, weapons and zords like nothing is really at stake at all.

That's just so remarkably stupid about this show! How can you establish any real stakes when even without this season's set of powers and zords, the rangers can just fall back on last season's set of powers and zords without it feeling like they are in any real danger from this.  How the writers try to make it seem like the rangers are so powerless and vulnerable when they literally STILL have these powers like Ultra Mode and dozens of zords STILL at their disposal is beyond laughable! Also, why use more footage from Goseiger when this is suppose to be the anniversary season!??? -_-  We still tribute episodes to seasons like Lightspeed Rescue who have yet to have even ONE RANGER transform into one of them!!! -_-  This clearly seems like a cost saving measure but it's neither interesting and entertaining, rather most the most redundant plot development of this set of seasons yet.  But the most unintentionally hilarious thing about it is Robo Knight finally resurfacing as Vrak's new minion; thanks to his plan use Orion's life force to control him.  All of a sudden the rangers are all conflicted and heartbroken, especially Troy that their old friend has returned and he has to fight him. If I recall, after the first two episodes this season of Troy looking out into the sea of despair after his beloved Robo Knight seemingly disappeared from existence, he and the rest didn't give a crap anymore! Not even Gosei or Tensou made it a priority....hell they didn't even mention Robo Knight anymore after his disappearance like he NEVER even existed in the first place.

Now all this emotional stakes when it comes to Robo Knight now being their enemy and needing desperately to reach out to their friend.  Yeah, right! Oh and those Mega force zords are just back to being used when they could have been used all season alongside the Legendary zords but whatever! The rangers just summon them like it's nothing serious.....OMG!!!! *Head might explode*  Oh and Vrak's plan includes drilling into the Earth with these massive drills that he uses his forces to trick the rangers into helping him set up.  Yeah, they aren't worth mentioning and are just a means to advancing the inane plot of Vrak's revenge against the rangers as well as destroying the world himself. I just........mediocre madness all around!
