Season 21, Episode 1: Super Megaforce

"Super Megaforce"
Episode 1
Air Date: February 9th, 2014(nick.com)/February 15th, 2014 (TV)

Sigh.....here we are at the actual anniversary season and things are already starting NOT to make sense! I LOVE how the new villains already declared that the first wave of the invasion was such a success....ummmm, since when??!!! Were the rangers defeated!???  No, they are just find going around the city and taking out the new foot soldiers this season, X-Borgs (Hey it's far better than Loogies!) So after we see the rangers saving random people from the invasion, they all make it back to the base and immediately I want to throw my phone at the scene when Gosei says the world has NEVER experienced an invasion like this before........JUST KILL ME NOW!!!!  Then Troy makes it back from going after Robo Knight as the rangers are given all new powers to fight off the invasion.  Yes, they can now access Super Megamode as well as Legendary modes through all the ranger keys around the base to transform into past legendary rangers. .................So no need for the Megaforce powers and Ultra mode anymore because they are pretty much useless and not as powerful compared to the powers that should have been given to them since day one! -_-  Not one of the rangers are like, "Ummmm then why did we have to go after that sword and do all that crap for Ultra mode when you had these more advanced, damn near limitless powers the whole time!?? O_O"  So no one is gonna say anything??? How they waste the whole time with powers that amount to nothing!??  God, this is even worse than the Zeo/Turbo transition.  Oh there's a simple explanation for why Jake's new powers are green.....that is NEVER actually explained.  Then why would Gosei tell him that if he isn't going to explain!??? Was it off scene!?? I just....

Anyway, the Armada, lead by Prince Vekar as well as his general Levira and Argus send out a new monster, Headridge and a second wave of X-Borgs down to continue the invasion when the rangers arrive already morphed but now they can access SuperMega mode.  And I gotta admit, the morphing sequence is simple yet nice.  I love the Gokiger suits, even if the pirate motif is shafted yet later in the episode, the rangers say "full speed ahead", clearly indicating the pirate theme....so.....O_O??!!!  Then of course, they start using their legendary mode.......so they have to morph into Megforce, upgrade to SuperMega mode to tape into Legendary mode......that's 3 morphed forms!!! Why not just get ride of the megaforce powers all together at this point!!?? But I digress, there are tooo many things to complain about so I'll leave that unnecessary series of gratuitous morphing.  O_O  It's just nice seeing the suits/teams from previous seasons as they rangers call out their specific morph calls, which is a nice touch! Samurai is first and makes sense considering they were the most recent, then Mystic Force! With their limitless new powers, the rangers finish off the foot soldiers and the monster, especially when turning into legendary red rangers like Jungle Fury and Wild Force.

But then the villains just send yet another wave of X-Borgs led by Tentacus aka let's use more footage out of context to fill up the episode.  So anyway, the rangers fight and destroy the second monster with their Final strike attacks with their SuperMega blades.....-_-.............  Anyway, Levira shows the rest of the villains how they can enlarge the monsters without Zombats aka the Maximizer which makes Tentacus and 3 other foot soldiers called Bruisers grow.  That's when Gosei tells them about their new zords via the Skyship, which the rangers call on to form the Legendary Megazord......what??! No Super Mega Megazord??!!! :P  Come on, make sense all the way!  Honestly, Legacy Megazord would have been waaaayyy more badass!!! Anyway, the rangers use their new megazord to destroy their enemies, especially with the megazord's final attack.  Yay!!! The rangers won and it's a SuperMega win now!!!! Dear God, Jonathan Tzachor is a twisted son of a horrendous writer!!! :) *Points gun at head* So the episode ends with referencing last season with Mr. Burley as he reminds his class of what he asked them about which species will last the longest on Earth or whatever.  Of course, Troy's answer is brought up and how when humans work together they can accomplish anything!!! But where is Troy now???  Ohh he's not even in class and is at the beach; getting a hard on over Robo Knight! -_- Oh boy.....here we go......
