Season 20, Episode 11: Ultra Power
"Ultra Power"
Episode 11
Air Date: September 14th, 2013
Awwwww, it's been a while since we've gotten a team power up!!! I think the last before this season was Jungle Fury to give the team an upgrade they can call on to help them get stronger in battle. You know, what's about this power up tho??? Is my next season it will be rendered completely obsolete even when the rangers STILL have these powers next season!!! So it's funny how incredibly powerful this Ultra mode is when it will be useless by next season. Not to mention, those ranger keys in the base....could be given to the rangers now.....especially considering how even when the rangers have all these powers, upgrades and zords at their disposal, they will also have the power of these multitude of ranger keys!!! I'm just saying, even in hindsight, this makes absolutely no sense!!! Why would Gosei send the rangers randomly on a journey to find some powerful sword as an upgrade for their powers.....when he already has power far superior than the rangers have now just lying around them....LITERALLY!!! In fact, it's because of Gosei sending the rangers on this mission that Vrak happens to ease drop on their conversation and learn of the Wild Sword....putting this whole episode in motion when this could have been easily avoided. Also, why are the rangers walking to the Black Mountains when they can freakin' teleport there and save precious time!??? O_O Just think how quickly this conflict would have been solved...hell not even exist is Tensou just teleported them the sword, they got it and teleported back to the base safe and sound without the villain ever having to know what is going on??!! -_-
But then that would require the writing to be actually competent and qualified to be at least decent for people to follow it. Sigh....anyway, if that wasn't absurd enough, Vrak sends out a monster named Distractor......yeah, to distract (GASP!) the rangers from going after the sword so he can get it himself. The plan works even tho it's obvious the monster is distracting them but the rangers carry on even tho he's pretending that he's being hit by their megazord. -_- Luckily, Robo Knight is able to help them and show them that him and his monster friends that he made appear out of thin air are just illusions to distract them. The rangers soon go after Vrak while Robo Knight handles Distractor. Rangers fight Vrak, Vrak tricks them into getting the wold sword for him, Vrak retrieves the sword and kicks the rangers' a$$es without any hassle as he takes off with the sword to destroy the city. Yeah and apparently the sword is sentient as Vrak can just tell it to destroy the city with its immense power. After the rangers and Robo Knight regroup to confront Vrak and Distractor, a huge fight issues as the wild sword is too powerful for all 6 of them as well as Distractor's monsters now become real and too hard to fight with the wild sword's power.
Safe to say, they are all screwed! But luckily, the wild sword is sentient as Troy (it's ALWAYS freakin' Troy! My god! -_-) features out he can connect to its spirit since its a weapon for good to protect the enviroment, blah, blah, my stomach!!! Soon the sword glows and breaks into 5 new zords for the rangers (Omg!!! -_-) as Gosei tells them they have unlocked the Ultra mode which they uses to transform into their team upgrade. Meh, their ok looking. I much prefer the Lights of Orion or the Jungle Master modes from the past seasons. With their new ULTRA power they easily defeat Distractor and his monsters as even Robo Knight knows the forces of evil are no match for the rangers' new powers. Great! Then the episode ends with some forced party at the rangers' base...while Troy looks at the ranger keys. Hmmmm...maybe Troy will finally say something about his mysterious recurring dreams....especially since the ranger keys look alot like the rangers in his dreams!!! NOPE!!!! Gia just forces Troy to party with them. The END!!! This season.....WOW......
