Season 15, Episode 30: Two Fallen Foes

"Two Fallen Foes"
Episode 30
Air Episode: October 23rd, 2007 (Jetix)/October 29th, 2007 (TV)

Well, we have only 3 episodes left and these villain factions aren't gonna destroy themselves right??? So after the completely unnecessary and beyond laughable clip show last episode, the rangers and Hartford are hot on the trail of the last jewel as Rose has realized while researching Greek mythology/artifacts, that the chalice's purpose is that it was used in ancient times to use the solar eclipse to bring forth rain from the sky so their crops could grow. As they head there, they run into Kamdor and Miratrix who once again battle for the chalice....which I find annoying above anything as they are always saying, "I got it!" then quickly knocked out of their hands and it happening over and over and over again on each side! I just can't take this seriously! lol Also during the fight, as the rangers are winning and Miratrix fails to get the chalice in the end, Kamdor teleports away with her and proceeds to chastise her about how useless she is to him despite them working together for so long.  While the rangers head to the ceremony area of where they need to catch the solar eclipse, Miratrix muhahahas at Kamdor and plans to be more powerful than him before she runs off........uhhhh OK!?  But unfortunately for me, my mocking of her is joke's on me as while the rangers are using the chalice to find out the location of the fifth crystal, Miratrix just bum rushes the rangers who are channeling massive power into the chalice and tells it give her GIVE ME THE POWAH!!!! O_O He-Man is somewhere right now....just waiting......geeeze!!! She succeeds and grows into a giant owl monster which leads the rangers to morph and summon their zords while Ronny and Tyzonn sever the connection between the chalice and Miratrix.

As the rangers fight Owltrix with the Battlefleet Megazord and after Ronny has yet another moment of blaming someone to do something! -_-, Tyzonn uses his mercury ability to open the force field around the chalice and Ronny uses her superspeed to quickly grab the chalice.  Now with the monster heavily weakened by it, the rangers are able to turn the tide of the fight and defeat Miratrix who shrinks back to her normal form.  Ronny and Tyzonn watch the chalice as it turns a golden plate that will tell them of the last jewel's location.  Too bad Kamdor blasts them and catches it; apparently being his plan all along to use Miratrix as he betrays her and traps her in the necklace that she once used to free her mentor.....damn, I kinda feel bad but Kamdor wastes no time by taking the plate away and using his jewel he has to summon a comet to destroy the world....even tho you haven't assembled the crown and all the jewels yet...huh??? O_o  Anyway, Norg of all people or should I say Yetis has been following Kamdor and manages to go unseen enough to steal it and give it to Flurious who just mocks him about still being there after getting the jewel.  Poor Norg.....:_(  Hey, he's a useless idiot but at least give him props for doing something right for once! :( Anyway, Kamdor tells the rangers to meet him for a final battle and while Will wants to face him alone to settle their ongoing season feud (Yeah.....about that...in my overview! O_o), the rest of the team form the DriveMax Ultrazord to blast the comet.  While it takes a lot of effort and persistence, the rangers manage to destroy it and save the world just as Will and Kamdor finish their intense final battle and Will manages to ole Kam in a pretty badass unforseen final move.

So now with those "two fallen foes" (Har Har writers! Kinda spoilerish before watching the episode too! O_O) out of the way, Rose deciphers that the last jewel is back in Egypt where they unlock a hidden door in a chamber to a chest housing the last jewel.  While Will tries his best to open the chest with his thief skills, turns out it can't be done after a montage of the rangers being bored to death by waiting.  It's only on this show where the stakes can be soooo high yet ultimately treated like a joke for absurd and awkward comedy....WOW! Turns out the rangers need a special key to open it as Rose reads a hieroglyphic on the wall just Moltor watches from his lair planning to beat the rangers to the key himself.  Overall, not a bad episode but not really great either.  It's a mediocre half hour with some great fights and solid action but the final showdown with Kamdor and Miratrix was just lackluster...mostly because they sucked as villains and Dax has to make one last forced joke ABOUT.  DATING. HER!!! -_-  For the love of God!!! Shut up you unfunny live action looney tune....EHHHHHHH!!! O_O 2. more. episodes.........!!!
