Season 15, Episode 12: Face to Face, Part 2

"Face to Face, Part 2"
Episode 12
Air Date: May 21st, 2007

Well, looks like ole Tyzonn has tricks up his sleeve as when he and Mack fight off the squad of lava lizards at the start of Part 2, we see he has the power to turn into Mercury and it's because he a Mercurian aka from Mercury.  After fighting off the lava lizards, Tyzonn finally gives Mack his full backstory on how he came to Earth as well as that strange broken crystal that he is so attached too.  Apparently, a human looking Tyzonn arrived on Earth on his own mission but ran into Moltor who cursed him into being one of his lizard monster creations to serve him and helping him find the jewels of the Corona (Sorry!!!) Aurora in exchange for turning him back.  ......Wait, so Tyzonn just very recently arrived on Earth since Moltor only recently returned to Earth,  Just seems weird its all and random, would have made more sense if Moltor cursed Tyzonn on his planet or something???  Anyway, Moltor broke his crystal and now here he is.  Mack gets the idea to bring Tyzonn back to the mansion to help him and others find the location of the second jewel of the crown.  Ohhhh and what are the rangers doing, well after returning to the mansion to track Mack down, Dax and Ronny pretty give up hope of ever finding him and want first dibs on his Sonic Streaker.....I......just.....  Could you imagine if during the Psycho Rangers arc Cassie said if they didn't find Ashley, she gets first dibs on her Galaxy Glider while Carlos was made cause he wanted it first!??? What kind of people these??! O_O  Hell what is with the lack of urgency and concern during these dramatic moments of this show in favor harsh punchlines and deplorable characterizations in the face of saving the damn world!!! O_O

Whatever, Mack finally arrives as Dax knew he would make it back......literally seconds after planning to steal his new zord if he never comes back!!! -_-  While everyone is afraid and skeptical of Tyzonn, Mack vouches for him and tells them he is here to help.  Meanwhile, Moltor and Bullox come up with a plan to follow and intercept the rangers during their search for the second jewel as they wait for them to find the location. During looking at the parchment again, Tyzonn uses some lemonade giving to him to reveal the exact coordinates of the second jewel hidden under the map.  Ahhhhh when in doubt, use citric acid!!! ;)  Nice one Ty!!! As the rangers head to the volcano where the jewel is located alongside Tyzonn, Bullox intervenes and begins to battle them and the lava lizards while trying to go after the second jewel.  Unfortunately, Moltor also send his three....lavadactyls and yes, it ends up looking as lame as they sounds, too! As the lavadactyls go after the second jewel, Hartford finally sends Mack the new zord he was meant to pilot that he hinted on in Part 1 aka the Sonic Streaker!!! Sure, it's a big ole CGI jet zord but we've seen MUCH sillier things on this show in CGI (Stupid Transtek Cycle!!! -_-). With it, Mack uses it to fire and shoot down the lavadactyls before heading into the volcano and having Tyzonn get the crystal in the lava since his lizard skin will protect him from the intensive heat.

Meanwhile, the 4 rangers use the Defender Vest as well as Drill Blaster to finish off Bullox but Moltor just makes him grow with some random thingy he throws and attaches to him.  Why hasn't he done this before tho??? O_o  Anyway, the rangers are sent their entire arsenal of zords to form the Super DriveMax Megazord, but Bullox is waaaayyy to powerful for even the massive megazord.  Jesus!!! Luckily, Mack returns in time with Tyzonn and the second jewel to aid them and form a new configuration with all the zords including the Sonic Streaker aka The DriveMax Ultrazord which is bulky as hell but looks good when it's posing in the sky and flying around.  With the new megazord, the rangers destroy Bullox for good and manage to make it back to the mansion as Tyzonn gives Mr. Hartford the second jewel.  With the two jewels now in their possession, Sentinel Knight returns to congratulate the rangers on a job well done so far and even ask if the Sentinel Knight can restore Tyzonn to his human form.  Apparently, he doesn't have that kind of power but the two jewels they have can as they can make a miracle happen...uhh huhhh??? O_o  Anyway, it works and Tyzonn is back to normal.  Tho I wonder how Sentinel Knight doesn't have the power to turn him back yet in future episodes he'll have the power to..... !!! -_- Before Tyzonn leaves, Mr. Hartford tries to convince him to stay but he must continue his own mission he came to Earth for as the episode concludes.  Overall, not a bad two parter, tho Tyzonn's reform and return to the good side was very quickly handled that it almost seemed pointless making him an enemy in the first place.  At least in the past there was a story arc with characters like this but this is all introduced and wrapped up in just two. episodes!!! O_o
