Season 14, Episode 5: Whispering Voices

"Whispering Voices"
Episode 5
Air Date: March 13th, 2006

Soooo...I guess I'm suppose to feel bad for Nick this episode??? -_-  I'm really starting to not only like his character but the teens outside their ranger suits.  I understand Nick is the new guy and you don't know him to well, but do you really think Nick would be a freakin' Power Ranger, not to mention LEADER of the Power Rangers if he was in fact a thief???  I just find it really stupid how just because LeeLee not so subtly through Nick under the bus by saying he stole the money; making Xander remember Nick mentioning how good having that kind of money is a good enough reasons to start making such an accusation!!! Why not ask Udonna, your mentor, since the Xenotome told he would be their leader??? Why not instead of Nick taking off and assuming that means he did it, didn't you just use some truth spell to reveal who really took the money???  I'm just saying the dilemma at hand this episode was beyond childish and ridiculous that I'm surprised the rangers didn't assume Leelee stole it since...hello!!! She's also new in town and has come off like an irritating bratty b!tch who can't stop being mean to them and always hangs out at that record store.  Also, Leelee's reason for lying about Nick and making him potentially get fired was because...she wants him to have more time to take her out??!!  I mean in hindsight, I guess this makes sense because Leelee turns out to be *spoilers* toward the end, but they can clearly tell she isn't that bright by her stupid hair moment but whatever.  Not to mention, she's still going to be hanging around the store consequence free even though she caused all this trouble for nothin! -_- Ehhhh anyway....

I guess I'll talk about the point of the episode title and plot since Koragg sees in some fountain at the beginning of episode that he will be destroyed by Nick.  Of course, Necroli can't help but laugh and taunt him about it; leaving Koragg to threaten her before she gives him the idea to use Udonna's Snow Staff to manipulate his mind. Koragg does so and Nick spends most of episode having painful headaches and not telling Udonna and the team about it!!! -_- Yes, at the end when everyone is apologizing, Nick mentions he should have told them about the voice in his head but come on, how could Nick be so stubborn and stupid when clearly this could be a magical problem??? O_o  I just...anyway, Koragg uses the staff to tell Nick to meet him at the beach so he can destroy him in an unsuspected battle on his terms.  It works for the most part until Nick randomly taps into his Phoenix power and sends Koragg flying into a boulder.  DAMMNN!!! Unfortunately, Koragg is STILL too powerful for Nick as the fight continues; leading the other 4 rangers to come to his rescue AFTER the fact they learn he didn't steal the money.  Oh woow....o_o..... Anyway, Koragg summons Catastros and makes himself grow with a spell to merge with it.  The rangers soon uses their Mystsic Morphers to transform in the Mystic Titans and use the Dragon formation once again in battle.  While at first they are evenly matched, Koragg then unleashes a new spell that makes him form into the Centaurus Wolf Megazord, which is able to not only defeat the rangers but steal their power to form their megazord....uhh huh??? O_o

With this stolen power, Koragg is finally able to raise Morticon from the underworld as he couldn't before cause he didn't have enough power.  The two team up and brutally defeat the ranegrs...when Koragg just decides to let Morticon finish Nick himself....WHAT?!! -_-  Who cares about the Master, your enemy is right there! Kill...ehh..DESTROY him and move on from it! O_O Because of Koragg's incompetence, Nick...again...randomly taps into a new ability by able to counter Koragg's spell and send Morticon back to the underworld.  Nice! How bout you finish them off now Koragg!!!? :).....No...you're just gonna gloat about having their megazord power and walk into the sunset literally!? o_o  I just...."Whispering Voices" is a trivial moral lesson episode that makes our heroes like dumb trying to wrap their heads around a simplistic as hell problem.  Leelee, an already annoying nuisance, made them look so slow that she was playing them and the rangers are continuously using their magic at work when customers and especially their boss can just walk in and discover they're the Power Rangers!!? Luckily, Tobey is dense enough to believe Chip's horrible lie about practicing ballet because...MAN!  o_O

Final Morph: D+
