Meh! Not the greatest episode (especially since they are rehashing the Halloween court thing from Dino Charge! I guess they exist in both universes??? O_o), but we've seen plenty worst from other Halloween themed episodes from this era of the show. Like seriously, no need to mention the ones from Samurai/Super Samurai or Megaforce!!! -_-  I mean is does something relatively new with the whole rangers switching bodies with monsters considering the last time we saw something like that was in SPD when Sky was forced to switch bodies with an alien criminal. But here all 6 rangers are switched with monsters....leaving the cast to fool around a bit with their performances and go over the top.  I mean in terms of a special it's fairly simple, probably even more simple than the average episode actually! O_O  It has to do with some monster named Versix aligning himself with 6 criminals known as the Gruesome Grunts.....uhhhhh...all I can get from these monsters are the reused costumes of Necroli and a Phantom Beast general.  Seriously, I know Power Rangers budget is the size of nap sack, but they keep reusing the same ones aka Necroli.....seriously, how many times are they gonna use it???  There costume/storage department must be pretty vacant, sheesh!  Could have at least tried to make her look a different color perhaps!? O_o

Anyway, while Versix manages to catch 4 of the six rangers and sends them to Halloween court, Sarah and Brody escape to get help from Mick and Red Bot.  After convincing them that they are the rangers, Mick and Red Bot help them form a plan to capture Versix and free the others from the Halloween court.  Meanwhile, at the court, the monsters are doing a rather poor job of keeping their secret....you know a secret by acting like monsters in the rangers' bodies.  Also, I find it hard to believe NO ONE in the courtroom, including the jaco judges and reject from Wicked couldn't tell the rangers and monster switched bodies when their voices are coming out the rangers' bodies and vice versa.  The hell!?!? Also, the dialogue I've noticed with this show is so clunky and insulting of the kids intelligence with the rangers having to constantly repeat what we're seeing. "Ohhh no! The strikes are going up!" "Oh no, the judges don't believe us!" "Omg, if we don't get out of here will be destroyed!" -_-  I honestly feel like this is a mandate that was forced onto Chip and his writing team because the guy can write scripts with much more mature and sensible dialogue! Whether by Saban himself or Nickelodeon's meddling, it's getting so grating and one of the many weaker aspects of this season as opposed to the last. 

Anyway, Mick and the rest of the rangers manage to trick the monsters and reveal the truth to the pumpkin judges (I mean....it wasn't hard to believe at all! -_-) by shapeshifting into Versix.  Wicked the Second does her witchy spell and switches everyone back....before the judges destroy the criminals....seriously, no trial at least??? .....Oh wait....:P  Anyway, the rangers return to Summer Cove to stop Versix and manage to destroy him in time for some trick o treating.  Sigh.....seriously meh and more of a time waster than a special. Also, dressing up Presto as a cave man because of his actor's brother played Koda was a bit too on the noise but cute. lol :P
