So we get a filler episode as well as sub-plot that moves the overarching story forward.....what little story there is really at this point. O_o  Anyway, after Victor causes a massive mess during magic club, Preston and the other club members get yelled at by Mr. Lunt who tells them they can't use his classroom anymore.  When trying to put a bee to sleep (for some reason! O_o), he accidentally puts Mr. Lunt to sleep who gets in trouble with the Principal Hastings and fired for sleeping on the job.  Honestly, I find the resolution of this problem more hilarious then anything.  The episode has a very old school MMPR story to it with the rangers trying to save their teacher from leaving by writing a petition and getting signatures.  Not to mention, them using their stealth suits to put the principal to sleep so she can realize how it feels to make a mistake is rather smart on the rangers part.  They manage to do the right thing by teaching someone else a lesson for a change and we don't see a lot of that now a days on this show.  Yes, let the teenagers be the one in the right for once and having to teach an adult even they can make a mistake....definitely something the kid viewers should learn. :)

Meanwhile, we get the villains actually coming up with a good plan again by distracting the rangers while Odius sends General Tynamon after Mick to capture him by putting him under some kind of mind control via a device she gives him.  I'm more stunned at the fact that Tynamon is apparently a tiny version of himself in a robot body! I mean it looks absolutely ridiculous and I'm glad the show acknowledges it as such.  The Sentai action here was pretty awesome compared to usual and I love the rangers coming up with new tactics to fight their enemies. One thing I can say is that the team is constantly proactive training like the Samurai team....only far more enjoyable of course. So the episode is pretty the final battle between the rangers and General Tynamon as Odius forces him to face off against the rangers for her plan to work.  Brax even returns during one of the great fight scenes in the episode and manages to damage Brody's ninja power star.....seriously, for being so powerful those things are really sensitive to a certain amount of damage before needing to be fixed.  Jesus! O_O

 

Anyway, Preston gets to use the Lion Fire Armor this episode cause every ranger can just use it now???!!  O_o As well as Levi using his extremely stupid looking "upgrade" aka the long sash of POWER apparently! :P  But of course, even when the rangers seemingly destroy the General, Cosmo Royal makes him GIGANTFY! and the rangers summon their Ninja Ultrazord to ultimately destroy him for good.  But a las, even tho the day has been seemingly saved once again by the rangers....Mick is still suspiciously absent until Red Bot receives a transmission from Mick who says he is leaving because his parents are sick.  While the rangers are a bit shocked, I'm surprised they let him go so easily when they need his expertise with the power stars and prism, etc.   But looks like Madame Odius' plan is underway as she will be using Mick to be a satellite version of her weapon to mind control all of the people of the city....maybe even the universe! Gasp! O_O  All and all, looks like a nice set up for the finale and a pretty strong episode in terms of the human dilemma of the week.
