Season 25, Christmas Special: The Poisy Show
"The Poisy Show"
Christmas Special
Air Date: December 1st. 2018
The complete opposite of the Halloween special in too many ways, "The Poisy Show" is clearly a surprise team-up/successor to the 25th anniversary special than anything really having to do with Christmas. I'm glad once again that the episode takes place after the series wrapped in the finale and being a special epilogue in that way. :) Yeah it's Christmas and all that but the rangers got a gift from Wes! Who has sent them an interdimensional remote to travel between dimensions.....is beyond phenomenal and too exciting for words. Now it opens the door for new crossovers between the main universe and the other ranger universes like RPM and Dino Charge! Speaking of Dino Charge, I loved how we got a continuation of that story as Sledge and his crew surprisingly return to the ruins of the Galaxy Warriors ship. Honestly, after two seasons of rather forgettable villains all together, seeing the main villains from Dino Charge immediately reminds you how much better and refreshing the show was two seasons (leaving the insufferable disbelief of the second season finale! -_-)
After being betrayed by Odius and returning for vengeance (Took you the whole season tho!?? O_o) , Sledge decides to take the empty destroyed base and use it to make a new show for Poisandra as a Christmas gift aka the Poisy Show. But honestly, it's really only a distraction for Poisandra as Sledge wants to get his hands on the Ninja Power Stars. Cue the Nexus Prism returning out of nowhere on Christmas to give the rangers back their power stars. Soon Sledge arrives with a new monster named Snow Fright who he uses to turn the rangers.....into snowmen....or rather trap them in snowmen while Preston manages to get away. During the fight, Preston and Sledge end up opening the portal to another dimension via the remote and end up in Prehistoric times while Snow Fright takes the rangers to the Warrior Dome for Poisandra's show. Oh Poisy, she's a riot! :) As the rangers are now captured and forced to be on her show sans their Power Stars, they form a plan to get Poisandra to get so mad at Sledge that they are able to escape. Since it's a holiday special, it's clip shows of the rangers telling her stories of course! :P Meanwhile, Preston is saved by a Pterodactyl of all things and falls right into the arms of.....KODA!??? Yes, we're back in the Dino Charge universe...only is it prehistoric times or the modern day considering Koda is in his cave man attire. Seems like it could be modern day since we know dinosaurs exist in the present but then why would Koda be in cave men wear. Also, he has a pet T-Rex now....awwww, it would have been nice if he was called Rexy! :P
Anyway, both rangers knowing each other from their last mission together team up against Sledge and manage to make it back to the main universe on Galaxy Warriors ship...with Sledge managing to follow them along. As Sledge runs into Wrench and informs him about the two Blue Rangers, Poisandra spots her boo and gives him a mouthful while Koda and Preston free the other rangers as well as getting back their power stars. As Sledge sends the Basherbots after them, they end up escaping throw the garage dump again (Jesus Brody!) and right....into Santa Clause's sleigh??? O_o "Oh yeah, it's a Christmas Special" kind of moment out of nowhere! :P Anyway, Santa gives the rangers a ride back to Summer Cove while Koda and Santa head back to the Warrior Dome to leave a special present for Sledge. *Spoilers*.........it's a BOMB!!! OH Sledge, how were even surprised and I guess that's the end of those villains??? :(
Lastly, the rangers battle Snow Fright and a couple of Basherbots before summoning their zords and taking the fight to megazord level when Sledge makes her grow! Yes, I'm not gonna talk about the guns through the snowman like they were his nipples! :P So the rangers and Koda save the day as he invites them back to his world for a good old cave man Christmas...oh yeah, the dinosaurs were never wiped out so they WOULD exist in Koda's time yada yada....why was I so confused about that!??? lol All and All, this was an unexpected surprised and pretty epic little episode for fans of the show as well as kids. :)
