So here begins the annual (and contractual) holiday specials with each season as Nickelodeon just can't help themselves and need it to draw in the kids for the holiday season.  This, on top of the split seasons throughout two years is one of numerous, endless reasons why this era of the show is downright appalling! O_O And I'm not speaking as a grown up, long time follower of the franchise.  I'm talking for the kids who literally are cheated out of a new episode, not to mention a Halloween special when the rangers make no appearances except for flashbacks of scenes they have already seen. Seriously, what is the point??? O_o  It's not even a cost saving measure, it's done to mix the brand with the holidays for more profit but it reeks of pathetic attempts at promoting as something and it ends up being a complete waste of time.  I'm surprised Amit Bhaumik even wrote this! O_O Tho it does bring my attention to something I've noticed, the Nighlok have more personality and waaayyy better dialogue than the freakin' rangers themselves! O_O

Jokes are actually funny and land with the original stuff; just imagine if the writers made the same effort and made the rangers' unique characters to their adaption that fun and refreshing??? Nope! Just fantastico and GOLDEN! -_-  Oh and apparently, Xandred wants to join in the festivities and go to a NIghlok Halloween party where the all the Nighlok that were destroyed by the rangers so far are celebrating and reminiscing about their former encounters with the rangers and how they were destroy by them.....that's it! That's all that this episode does for 20. MINUTES!!! At least the clip shows of the past made an original story that included the rangers between old flashbacks of previous episodes but like I said, the rangers aren't even here.  Jesus, you know you holiday special has reached the depths of empty foolishness when it makes me want to sit through "A Season to Remember" all over again! O_O

Oh and Xandred had a Samurai costume and is so upset he couldn't make it.  Yes, Xandred....are BIG BAD villain is made into a damn punch line by episodes' and make Divatox and even Lother look more productive and menacing.  Great job so far writers.  Oh Jonathan Tzachor......you are NOT missed! Stay away! Onto the Christmas special......
