Season 10, Episode 20: Three's A Crowd

Sigh...I've seen some of the most ridiculous, absurd and stupid monsters on this show...but nothing and I mean nothing tops.....Wedding Dress Org.  Yes!!! A freakin' Wedding Dress monster.....that's a guy...not a girl too!  You see, this is why some episodes of Super Sentai need to be avoided and not adapted!  I just can't take this Org seriously at all and it doesn't help that the plot of the episode is fixated on overt sentimentality and a forced romance.  Not to say the romance between Danny and Kendall isn't cute but did we really need a convoluted love triangle added to it.  Yeah, Danny gets into one when another guy named Collin and they both spend time trying to win Kendall's heart when it's clear she's more intro Danny when even at one point they share dumb looking smiles on their face as Collin looks on in disgust.  I'm sorry, but nothing about this plot progresses Danny as a character or further explores his character besides the obvious: He's a gentle giant, extreme caring/sensitive and has a serious crush on Kendall....that's it! O_o  Also, why is Kendall helping to prepare and organize this wedding when there are missing brides being taken all over Turtle Cove??? Are these people stupid or something??? Of course, Collin is rich, spoiled and self involved; making Kendall's choice very easy and obvious so why bother???

What would have been much better if they explored Danny's characteristics more and the struggle of  actually dating Kendall while being a ranger at the same time but missed opportunity.  Even the plot with the missing brides, which is pretty refreshing, is ultimately brushed aside and used in a very abrupt resolution.  Also, the worst and I mean absolute WORSE part of the episode is when Kendall comes to Danny from being in her hospital bed to a battle the rangers are having against Wedding Dress Org to deliver some of the most forced and cringeworthy dialogue from this show! -_-  Suddenly, Danny can handle ALL the enemies in the fight and is easily able to defeat the Org.  Yeah, I get this was suppose to be some heartfelt moments with some humor thrown but no...no....NO...NOOOOOO!!! This was just crap at it's finest for this show.

The episode ends with the rangers calling on their Wild Zords after Uber Toxica makes her...I mean HIM...grow and the rangers use the Sword and Shield Mode of the Wild Force Megazord to finally destroy him.  Anyway, the episode ends with Kendall telling Danny to focus on his ranger duties and not her, which is the only time the episode feels decent and genuine.  I mean, there have been MUCH worse episodes than this but "Three's A Crowd" once again highlights the problems of this show: unintentionally humorous writing, bad character development, over the top dialogue and moments that make my skin crawl.  I know it's harsh but moving on.....O_o
