"Nadira's Dream Date"
Episode 35
Air Date: October 13th, 2001

You know, this episode should just be needlessly filler but it actually produces a handful of chuckles out of me every time.  "Nadira's Dream Date" isn't as absurd as Power Rangers gets but it's fun seeing Lucas put into a pretty ridiculous situation as Nadira mistaking one of his poems (which turns out to be for his first race car! lol) to be about her.  Yes, because Nadira is in desperate need of romance!  Cause apparently, she needs more than clothes, money, jewelry, etc.

I think the funniest thing about the episode is Ransik's reaction to the whole thing and the hilarious character study they do with him.  Ransik absolutely HATES the rangers...BUT it willing to put his hatred aside for ONE of them because Nadira in love with Lucas.  The best part of the episode is without a doubt when Lucas and Nadira go on their first date and Ransik is over on the side giving Lucas very specific instructions on what to do next from complimenting her and giving her presents.  It shows that Ransik's ties to humanity lies in his daughter and how much he cares for her happiness.  It really shows where his heart is and how it will lead to his eventual redemption during the finale. Nice!

But also, it's just funny Lucas being put into this situation and using his narcissistic personality as a means of Nadira not being able to get over him! LOL Luckily, the other rangers devise a plan to make Lucas literally repulsive in EVERY retrospect as we get another hilarious scene of Lucas being a complete slob and forcing Nadira to break up with him! HA! From there, the episode is pretty basic as the rangers must defeat Chameleocon and uses their weapons as well as zords to defeat him.  Eric, of course, comes out of no where to help recapture him with his Q-Rex.....as usual. Sigh..... Also, speaking of random, Glutto has been SO incredibly useless all season besides pinning for Nadira and the episode just ends with him trying to win her heart but Nadira is such an awful screaming banshee! Sigh....More on him in my overview...Overall, this was a pretty decent episode that produce from genuine laughs here and there for me.
