Sigh.....oh well, they can't ALL be great right??! -_-  So here's the thing....this episode....makes absolutely. NO. SENSE!!! In a season that has had MANY strong aspects to it from the acting to the overall plot, the time travel theme has probably been the most missed opportunity!  Don't get me wrong, the whole "destiny vs. free will" theme is paramount and VERY well written so far but in an episode that could  have (and seriously SHOULD have!) used the time travel theme to explain the utter randomness of the Black Knight, the White Knight and a freakin' Dragon just existing in Silver Hills???!!! -_- So yeah, that's never explained! Listen, I know this is the PR universe, the same universe that has mermaids, Space Pirates, wormholes to different worlds and dimensions, etc.  But in a episode as bizarre and out of no where at this, SOME explanation would have been nice.  This crap just reminds me of that one off Medieval Power Rangers 90s show "The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog (Remember that one during that Fox Kids block???)  Why not have the rangers travel back in time or have the knights as well as the horrible CGI dragon (cause you gotta have a dragon!) come from the past hunting done the rangers??? You could have the White Knight trying to give the box to the rangers while the Dark Knight tries to hunt him down in 2001....BUT nope....there's just knights and a dragon in Silver Hills having some random fight over a box that holds some kind of mysterious power inside that only someone "true of heart" can open! -_-

Then why not force or kidnap one of the rangers to do so??? O_o  The Black Knight treats the rangers like they are simply a nuisance when they should have been his primary target and he would have gained access to the Battle Fire instead of just attacking random people just for the hell of it to freakin' find someone to open it for him! -_-  Seriously, who wrote this one!!? O_O Anyway, I just want to rush through this one as quick as possible.  After the Black Knight randomly (noticing a trend here?) attacks Trip, Trip tries to explain to the other why he is late delivering the pizzas, yada, yada, yada, the other rangers don't believe him, yada, yada, yada....even though their multicolored crime fighters from the year 3000 battling mutants with the technologically advanced weaponry and zords but a random black knight running around attacking people in the city is far fetched......???!! Anyway, soon when the others see the Black Knight too, they try to stop him but he's too powerful even for them.....So medieval weaponry beats super powered weapons from the year 3000??? You see why this episode frustrates me! But I'm sure he's magical or something, whatever.

Wes eventually tracks the Black Knight down to his lair aka his cave with the horrible CGI dragon and we get a pathetic fight sequence of Wes OWNING the dragon with his Chrono Saber....yeah! O_O While the other ranges struggle once again in fighting the Black Knight, Wes finally retrieves the box and can open it....since he's...WHAT???...true of heart! -_-  The spirit of the defeated White Knight gives Wes the power of the Battle Fire so he can become the...sigh....Red Battle Warrior...aka his new battlizer!  Yes, because we need more toys to sell and they can't possibly sell themselves! This is Power Rangers after all! -_-  Anyway, Wes uses his new battlizer to destroy the Knight for good and uses his sword to close the cave??? Huh...what??? Ehhh...I just can't with this episode.  Just another excuse to introduce the annual Red Ranger battlizer but it's already getting tiresome. Mind, last episode, Wes just got a new weapon in the Stratocycle and now he gets his battlizer.  Also Eric has his own battlizer and the TF Eagle.  Can you say toy promo overload here!!!?? O_o  The story is just boring, random (again!), dumb, makes no sense, etc.  At least, "Web War" had an awesome one off monster of the week and plot....at least "Facing the Past" developed Karone immensely even if Leo was rewarded for that!  But this Red Ranger Battlizer episode is just one of the worst episodes in a long while!  No. Thanks!  Next up. Team Up! :)
