Well, another two parter??! This time it's centered around a new character named Sophie, who is apart of the academy's D Squad (So yeah, it seems like there are more squads after A and B working their way up to the top!? O_o Wow!)  Tho one wonders what C Squad is up to during all this as they get a mention when Bridge says Sophie would make C Squad in no time thanks to her incredible fight skills for a beginning cadet. It's also cool seeing the rangers training the next generation of rangers who will eventually take their spots and taking pride in it, even tho they themselves still have A LOT to learn as rangers! While the other D Squad cadet lick their wounds, we get a glimpse of some machine hatred from the rangers that makes Sophie clearly uneasy...hmmmm... Meanwhile, after a very impatient Grumm threatens Mora to earn her keep around his warship, she frighteningly suggests that she can find him a second in command in Valko, a vicious warrior from a distant planet in the galaxy.  Grumm relents and Mora confronts Valko to tell him that Grumm only wants him to serve him if he can defeat the rangers for him.  Valko gleefully gets to work by going to Earth and releasing some powerful dormant creature that's been underneath it for years.  When S.P.D. are alerted to the massive disturbance caused by the creature, Cruger quickly sends the rangers and Kat to investigate it.  After coming upon the massive crater in a quarry, Kat debunks that what is was came out of the Earth and didn't dig through it.  Uhhh Ohhh....O_O

Anyway, Bridge has been showing Sophie off to Cruger and Kat because of her exceptional potential as a future ranger just as Kat reveals a new system protocol called D.B.D.S. that Sophie can't help but insist on helping with.  Unfortunately, the highest of personal have access to the program as Kat tells Sophie...but it doesn't stop her from sneaking into Command Center to try to hack her way into it.  After narrowly escaping Kat before she gets caught, Cruger and Kat question who could have almost done so considering no trace of human DNA is no where to be found from the culprit....hmmmm.... I have to say, the mystery surrounding Sophie and her obviously bizarre behavior was well plotted by the writers.  She clearly has an affinity for machines and technology but we don't know exactly why she does until Valko leads a direct attack against the academy and wants Sophie herself.  Apparently, he needs a specific kind of technology to power Goradon, the enormous machine creature he just released.  While the rangers struggle to fight him, Bridge takes an injuried Sohpie and the rest of the cadets back into the academy for safety.  Soon Valko unleashes a massive robot that begins attacking the academy directly....DAMNNNNN!!!

Luckily, in awesome Power Rangers fashion, this episode reveals the newest arsenal in the rangers' war against Grumm as Kat finally uses D.B.D.S. which transforms the freakin' academy into a gigantic crawl vehicle that fends off the robot while the other four rangers watch in amazement. No kidding!!! Jesus, just imagine if the academy could turn into a megazord after this....:) :) :P!!! Anyway, with the robot blasted back enough where it can't block the zord bay doors, Bridge is soon told to lead the zords to the others to form the Delta Squad Megazord (I think I've just been calling it the Delta Megazord this whole time!! Oops! O_o Anyway, after defeating the robot, Goradon decides to show himself and take the defeated robot away to use as a temporary power source.  While the rangers return to base to check on Sophie, it's revealed that she is a cyborg!!! Dun, DUN, DUN!! o_O  Tho I feel the rangers truly overreacted to this sudden revelation, especially Skye just casually expelling her without getting all the facts.  Since when are ALL robots considered untrustworthy and automatically evil??? O_o  Yeah, I have certain questions about this future we're in, especially considering it's a future where aliens and humans co-exists on Earth so....HUH??! o_o Anyway, after Bridge can't decide who's side to be on, Sophie runs off and runs into Valko, ending this first part.  All and All, "Wired, Part 1" was solid entry that while has a lot of glaring questions; really entertains and excites as a good episode of this show should. :)

Final Morph: B+
