Season 13, Episode 23: Zapped

Well, I guess this episode was, as usual, filler for the most part.  I mean I can understand the underlying message of the core team being so jealous of Kruger's growing relationship with the Omega Ranger but I just feel it never really drove home the importance, not to mention, the incredible fondness that Kruger is building toward the B Squad.  Also, it doesn't make the B Squad look so good when they decide to disobey orders just join the Omega Ranger on a solo mission to stop Morgana when she recruits an alien magician for Grumm's latest plan.  I know, they're still kids at this point and have A LOT more to learn but it just seems like something that could have been easily resolved.  I mean, wasn't it only a couple episodes prior that the rangers saw that the Omega Ranger needed their help and to learn about importance about what it truly means to be a ranger??? O_o  I think the story would have worked more if it was Sky who was being outdone by the Omega Ranger as he has so much more knowledge about rules and regulations than him or Jack feeling jealous or even replaced by the Omega Ranger taking charge of the team for a mission despite his orders to follow him.  Oh well...

As for the main plot, Grumm actually manages to store another win against the rangers, especially since he seems to be collecting a variety of random items like gold, diamonds, etc. for a future plan of him that even Kat can't decipher.  It's nice to see that Grumm is actually thinking ahead and isn't just randomly fighting the rangers to win the current fight but keep them preoccupied so his master plan can come to fruition. See Lothor, THIS is how a mastermind villain truly works!!! :P Anyway, it's Power Rangers so we get a gimmicky as hell sub-plot with Syd being put under a spell by Mysticon and forced to help him kidnapped a very famous microbiologist...who just happens to be at a magic show O_o.......huh.  Anyway, it's Bridge of all people who manages to knock Syd out of the spell by tricking her into morphing (whatever! Just go with it!) as she is able to help the rest of the team stop Mysticon.  Unfortunately, Broodwing gave Mysiticon one of his strongest giant robots yet and both the Delta Squad Megazord and Omegamax Megazord aren't enough to defeat Mysitcon as he robots backs them into a corner.  But have no fear, Kat has cooked up a new weapon for the rangers: The Deltamax Megazord aka both megazords combining as usual to kick some serious ass!!! Yes!!! The formation actually looks really awesome but...the finishing move tho.  Just superspeeding toward the robot and punching it really hard! Yeah......O_o  I guess it beats the usual sword finisher of so many previous seasons??? O_O  Anyway, "Zapped" is a completely filler from top to bottom but enjoyable enough for a half hour of non-sense.
