Season 13, Episode 22: Messenger, Part 2
"Messenger, Part 2"
Episode 22
Air Date; July 16th, 2005
Starting from where the last part left off, Kat and Cruger initialize the Delta Command Megazord and join up with the rangers. Unfortunately, Shorty is too fast and is easily able to out maneuver the gigantic zord as the rangers continue to take a serious beating. All hope seems lost until the arrival of a new megazord, the Omega Max Cycle that transform into the Omega Max Megazord piloted by a mysterious figure. After the Omegamax Cycle takes care of Shorty (even driving on its stomach at one point! O_o), the mysterious figure jumps out of the zord to reveal himself to be a new ranger. As Morgana and Devastation are shocked by his arrival, he introduces himself as the Omega Ranger. Tho, I wonder why if he's the 7th ranger in line, that he has the Roman Numeral for the number 6 on his chest...the hell???! O_o Well, no matter what his actual number is, the Omega Ranger proves to be a powerful new ally as he is able to catch laser pellets by stopping time and easily out fight the two with his much more advanced weaponry compared to the present..uhh...past..future??? O_o As the two retreat, the rangers demorph as the Omega Ranger officially introduces himself to them. Meanwhile on Grumm's ship, he is clearly pissed by the arrival of this new Omega Ranger and berates them, especially Devastation, who was suppose to be the most dangerous criminal in the universe before sending him back out to stop the rangers.
Back at S.P.D. Headquarters, as the rangers brief Kat and Cruger on the newest ranger, they tell them he disappeared into a ball of light, where Boom shows them footage of the ball of light floating around S.P.D. for a while now. After Skye confirms the ball has been here since the Samurai came to the present, the Omega Ranger reveals that he has come back from the future to stop Grumm from conquering Earth like he does in his timeline. As Devastation returns to attack the city, the Omega Ranger stops the others from coming as only his advanced technology can take care of him and Morgana. The rangers are shocked and believe its their heart and courage that makes a ranger strong, the Omega Ranger continues to tell him only he can stop them and they would only get in the way. The rangers soon all agree to let him go on his own as he takes his Omega UniCycle to confront Morgana and Devastation. At the first, the Omega Ranger once again shows his skills and weapons are far too powerful for them, even able to catch a large pillar and throw it against a trio of blue heads. Uhhhhhh...Jesus!!! O_O Let him win guys!!! But soon Devastation gets the upper hand as the Omega Ranger becomes in trouble during battle. Watching from SPD, the other rangers gloat about him doing this on his own and NOT needing them, Cruger reminds them of the SPD protocol when a ranger's in danger.
As the Omega Ranger continues to take a beating, the other rangers soon arrive to help him out despite his initial wishes for them to stay behind. Of course, the rangers prove that their heart and courage is enough to turn the tide of the fight as they draw Devastation back. As the Omega Ranger realizes this, he commends the rangers for showing him what it truly means to be a ranger, blah, blah, blah. The episode concludes with the rangers and the Omega Ranger combining forces with their megazords to defeat Devastation once and for all. Ohhhh and it even turns out, the Omega Ranger turns out to be Sam from earlier in the season all grown up!!! Wow, I actually like the bit of continuity. Tho, the whole ball of light thing is STILL unnecessary. I mean, they explain why he is but...meh! Anyway, Part 2 was a climatic conclusion to this duo of ranger intro episodes. :)
