Season 12, Episode 25: Tutenhawken's Curse

Meh! Filler! Well, besides the fact that Ethan gets a brand new weapon in the form of the Hovercraft Cycle...because remember...Toys first, show second! ;) Anyway, the episode begins with the class being brought to the Reefside Museum where their teacher begins talking about ancient artifacts (Of course Cassidy thinks she'd fit right in Ancient Egypt...of course, your shallowness! -_-)  Anyway, she soon begins talking about the ancient ruler Tutenhawken, as his body is displayed in front of them, and how he ruled Egypt with great power as well as curse all those who opposed him.  Ethan is all stoked because he wants to translate the hieroglyphics of the exhibit by coping them down and using his computer to decipher them. I like how Connor, Kira and Trent warn him about messing with that before telling them "you don't really believe in that stuff?"  I mean....you guys are multicolored superheroes who fight dino mutations on practically a daily basis so.....why the hell not??? O_O  Anyway, as soon as Ethan get through translating the symbols on his new laptop, he reads it out as it turns out to be a curse.  Connor and Kira are scared for poor Ethan but he doesn't believe it's real.....until Tutenhawken awakens at the museum and begins his rampage on the city!  Great job Ethan!!! -_-  Your laptop deserved to be unexpectedly destroyed! Very harsh but true! :P

Oh and of course, Cassidy and Devin must be forced into the plot as Tutenhawken, a 4,000 year old ancient ruler, is so taken by Cassidy and wants to make her his queen.....she can't resist! What a surprise! -_-  Of course, this is just a brief sub-plot to try to show Cassidy has more depth but the fact she just brushes off Ethan to the side for a monster just because he wants to make her royalty just shows she REALLY isn't redeemable in my eyes.  Oh, she doesn't want to be with Tutenhawken because he bullies Devin and wants to destroy the Power Rangers....sooooo what did you think he was up to all that time he wasn't with you, stupid!!! -_-  I just....oh and she has a change of heart and apologizes to Ethan at the end....well, he has to apologize for her cause she's not use to saying it....what a shock! -_-  Poor Devin is STILL doing everything she wants him to do so....I just....I don't get this vapid and incompetent character than makes even Bulk and Skull seems more like substantial characters with actual sense and character growth than her!

Anyway, Mesagog uses this opportunity to let Yutenhawken finish off the rangers while Ethan must find a way to break the curse.  Luckily, after a quick battle between Kira and Tuten at the museum, she is able to copy more symbols down that Ethan deciphers as the true way to defeat Tutenhawken and break the curse.  Apparently, he must beat him in the sky....which of course, leads to Hayley unveiling Ethan's new hovercraft Cycle...how convenient!!?  Toys gotta sell right??? O_o So while Connor, Kira and Trent deal with Tutenhawken, who is extremely powerful by the way, Mesagog orders Elsa to go there and take their dino gems after he has destroyed them.  While Trent deals with Else and owns her something fierce, Connor and Kira try their best to keep Tutenhawken at bay but even their Super Dino modes aren't strong enough to fight him.  Damn! Help arrives when Ethan blasts Tuten with his Hovercraft Cycle and uses it to battle him in the sky as it coverts it to its hover mode.  It's a decent battle, but my goodness those explosions, especially when Elsa fires at Ethan are just....WOW!!! LOL Anyway, Ethan finally destroys Tutenhawken but Mesagog forces him to grow as Ethan and Kira give Connor their powers for his Triassic transformation.  He calls on the Mezodon Rover and this time, even Ethan and Kira get to board with Connor as they use it to defeat him for good! Overall, "Tutenhawken's Curse" is filler at it's best with the only relevant thing happening is Ethan getting a new toy to play with....just like Hunter last year....this franchise needs that money from those darn kids!
