"White Thunder, Part 3"
Episode 13
Air Date: May 1, 2004
Well things sure are escalating quickly as we start Part 3 with an intense zord battle as the White Ranger orders his Dragozord to attack the rangers. First with a powerful wind attack that leabes some of the city in ruin and then charging through the Thundersaurus Megazord like it was nothing. If that wasn't bad enough, when Tommy tries to summon the Stegazord for help, the White Ranger cleverly anticipates it and forces the zord under his control to form his own megazord: The Dino Stegazord!!! And I got to say not only are the rangers seriously screwed but the White Ranger's megazord already looks A LOT better than there's. What??? O_o :P The Dino Stegazord isn't just more than a match for the Thundersaurus but it manages to finish off the rangers by seriously damaging their zords while the rangers fallout form them. As the White Ranger prepares to finish them off, Tommy manages to can control of the Stegazord for enough time to force the White Ranger into a retreat. Unfortunately, as Tommy briefs the rest of the team at the Dino Lab about what to do next, Connor, Kira and Ethan are left scared and eager to find a way to stop their newest and most powerful enemy. Tommy tells them the only thing they can do is leave out their lives in the meantime until they figure it out...as Tommy whispers to himself "it's only gonna get worse". Yeah, I mean he could be given like some Sword of Darkness, made to grow as big as the monsters they face in their megazord and seemingly destroy the ranger's primary megazord for the time being....right Tommy??? :) :P
Anyway, as Connor plays a game of soccer with some other players at the park, he spots a Trent looking once again out of it and warn out as he can barely focus on Connor as he looks at him. Not to mention, Trent blows Connor off and tells him to stay away from him. As Connor's soccer buddy wonders what Trent problem is and how Connor knows him, Connor is surprisingly really concerned about Trent and decides to follow him to make sure he's ok. Wow, Connor already showing how selfless he is becoming even when he's not a ranger....nice bit of character development once again for our Red leader! ;) Meanwhile, Mesagog uses the current situation to his advantage by keeping the other rangers busy while he finally confronts the White Ranger himself. As Conner makes his way to a quarry where he followed Trent to, he is soon attacked by the White Ranger again and is forced to morph. As Connor tries to reason with him, White Ranger ain't got time for that sh!t and quickly owns Connor something scary! Damn! While Mesagog has his generals send out a more powerful version of Angor that Tommy and Kira go after. Since the ranger's primary zords are still damaged, Tommy summons the artillery zords aka the Cephalazord, Parasaurzord and Dimetrozord to fend him off. Meanwhile, the White Ranger continues to kick Connor's ass beyond embarrassment until....sigh...Connor unlocks some new advancement of his powers aka Super Dino Mode and proceeds to finally outfight the White Ranger! Yeah...that Super Dino Mode.....ummmmm....I have no words right now....besides the fact that WTF??!? O_O God, does that thing look stupid af!!! The thin spikes that come out from the white design of the rangers' suits...it just looks so silly and embarrassing! And this is the same show where things like a black knight existing in modern times and Wes getting a battlizer from some random box that has a power source that chooses someone who is fair and true!!!! Ehhh! -_- Anyway, after falling for the White Ranger dying then getting blasted for his momentary incompetence, Mesagog and Zeltrax finally arrive to confront the White Ranger. Poor Connor just keeps getting blasted because he's in the way! Jesus, guess you wish you hadn't followed Trent now right Connor??? lol
As Mesagog tries to lure the White Ranger to his side with an offer of ruling the world by his side, the White Ranger quickly declines and summons his Dragozord to escape. While Connor lies there, Mesagog orders Zeltrax to spare his life as they has more important matters at hand and the Red Ranger would most likely lead them to the White Ranger again. Ohhh and Ethan been battling some Tyrannodrones as Mesagog had them delay him so he can confront the White Ranger without more meddling from the rangers, so it's been a very eventual and tense episode for the whole team all things considered. O_o Anyway, as Angor disappears and reappears in the quarry, the White Ranger has summoned the Stegozord again to combine with his Dragozord to make the Dino Stegazord. As the rangers reunite, they witness the White Ranger utterly obliterating the upgrade Angor and the White Ranger once again tells a pissed off Mesagog who sees all of this "he works for no one!" Damn son@!!! O_O As the rangers regroup at the Dino Lab, Connor still wonders if Trent is alright while Tommy goes back to the warehouse to find the Fossil Finder. There he bumps into an out of control and seriously distraught Trent who once again transforms into the White Ranger to Tommy's shock and horror. That was AWESOME!!! :) After Tommy quickly morphs, we get a really intricate and elaborate fight scene between them but ultimately, Tommy is overpowered and no match for the superior White Ranger who's just too powerful. As Tommy tries to tell Hayley about who the White Ranger is, he then quickly traps Tommy in a ember and unable to tell anyone the truth. Holy CRAP!!! o_O What a 3 parter!!! Definitely did what it was suppose to very well! Established a powerful new foe, up the stakes significantly with each part and even ended the final Part 3 with an awesome cliffhanger that not only doesn't resolve the conflict but creates a greater one for the rest of the team moving forward. A rogue White Ranger that doesn't play nice with both sides is just refreshing and exciting for the show and I honestly can't wait to see where things go after this fantastic introduction arc to a badass new enemy. :)
Final Morph: A+
