Season 8, Episode 33: Olympius Unbound

Man, this episode feels like the second half of a two parter as it picks up directly where the last one ended! :)  As Olympius and the Gatekeeper remained trapped in the Shadow World, Jinxer contacts him.  Turns out not all the demons are on Diabolico's side and it makes sense since Jinxer was always the most protective of Impus/Olympius.  Anyway, after reading from an ancient box, Jinxer tells Olympius the only way out of the Shadow World is to conquer all of the defeated monsters and absorb them into him; giving him enough power to escape.  Olympius prepares to do so as Jinxer wants to contribute more power to Olympius by using a star power relic.  Turns out, he transform into a human performer at a carnival where Dana and Captain Mitchell are there; enjoying some father/daughter time.  As Mister Mesmer, Jinxer tricks Captain Mitchell into hypnotizing him and plants the relic onto him.  Jinxer makes it look like he's some kind of phony until he actually tests his hypnosis onto Captain Mitchell, making Dana worry but ultimately he recovers for now.  As Jinxer gets away and transform back into his true form (How no one at the carnival notices this is beyond me! Wow! O_O), Olympius is busy back in the Shadow World, fighting off the monsters and literally sucking them into him after he defeats them.  The combined power of the monsters begins to transform Olympius into an even more hideous form as the Gatekeeper runs over to him ask him to share his power.  Olympis just knocks him over and tells him the power is all his...Jesus like mother, like son much!? O_o  But at least he takes the Gatekeeper with him as he escapes back into the real world.  As Jinxer enters the cemetery where Olympius should arrive, Olympius and the Gatekeeper rises from the ground.

As Jinxer is overjoyed to see Olympius, Olympius is overjoyed by his new powers as Jinxer tells him he will provide him with more.  He once again hypnotizes Captain Mitchell and I can't help bu laugh at Ron Rogge's acting....WOW!!! o_o  Even him staring into space is HORRIBLE acting!!! Jennifer Yen and him must have had the same agent! Anyway, as one of the crew members of the base tries to talk to him, Captain Mitchell just heads to the engine room (Doesn't anyone notice how strange he's acting, especially looking all possessed? O_o).  As he makes his way there, he transfers all the power to the relic as its concentrated power is sent directly into Olympius' star power.  As the Aqua Base' power begins to drastically decrease, Ms. Fairweather and the rangers view Captain Mitchell in the engine room.  As Dana puts the pieces together of what's going on, Ms. Fairweather and her try to get through to the Captain but he's too far gone under the effects of the spell.  Luckily, Ms. Fairweather made sure the Aqua Base's lack of power wouldn't affect the rangers' zords but soon they will quickly run out of air if the power continues to decrease.  Suddenly one of the personal at Lightspeed tells them about a powerful energy surge from the cemetery and Ms. Fairweather tells the rangers to go there while she goes with security to stop Captain Mitchell.  At the cemetery, the rangers are shocked by Olympius' return as he proceeds to kick their asses.  Jinxer and Gatekeeper help him out as even at one point, Dana is accidentally hits Joel trying to save him from Gatekeeper.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fairweather and two security guards get to work on breaking the engine room door down as the air in the Aqua Base begins to drop rapidly.  Meanwhile, Olympius' power begins to grow exponentially as he grows into a giant monster and the rangers are forced to call on their zords.  But unfortunately, as Olympius' powers grows, he is easily able to destroy the Lightspeed Megazord Saber and blast the Super Train Megazord hard enough to force it to break back into its Rail Rescues.  Dammmnnn!!! As Ms. Fairweather and the security guards continue to break the door down, Jinxer orders Captain Mitchell to "MUST. OOOBBBEEYYY!!!" as Olympius grows more and more powerful.  Even after summoning the Omega Megazord and Lightspeed Solarzord, the rangers are STILL no match for Olympius' powers as two guards finally break the door down.  As the three enter the engine room, Captain Mitchell immediately tries to stop them. Realizing she can't get through to Captain Mitchell, Ms. Fairweather takes matters into her own hands and use a nearby ax to destroy the relic.  Olympius soon loses his immense power as the rangers take the opportunity to finish off with their megazords.  But after seemingly be destroy, Jinxer finds Olympius injured and weakened under some rubble as his star power has been destroy though

The episode ends with the rangers planning to have a fun day at the beach until Captain Mitchell tell them they are going to do the exact opposite! Joel thinks he can hypnotize the Captain into letting them have the day off but the Captain humors him until he tells Joel to run 10 miles ON THE DOUBLE!!! Well, at least it isn't Ms. Fairweather's teasing Joel that makes the rangers laugh this time.  Overall, another awesome episode that moves the plot along and has some great action.  Bad acting from Captain Mitchell not withstanding! O_o
