So....what the hell is the deal between Joel and Simon??? Clearly, this kid is some kind of child genius since he's able to discover an asteroid is hurtling toward Earth before freakin' NASADA does, can hack into Joel's morpher and writes a notebook full of accurate calculations about the velocity and proximity of the asteroid!??  Also, how did Simon and Joel meet anyway???  The writers could have tried to have explained that by making them relatives or Joel being Simon's personal hero as he acts like it in this episode but nope!!!! Anyway, Olympius is the one behind the asteroid heading to Earth as his newest plan to get rid of Mariner Bay for good.  After Joel gets pretty much rejected from Ms. Fairweather again (Yup! Just keep dragging this out forced romance between them!) and Simon, like I says, hacks into the frequency of Joel's morpher, he heads back to Simon's home where he shows Joel his notes and tells him about the asteroid.  When they get to Lightspeed, I LOVE how Ms. Fairweather is just ignoring Joel when he has something urgent to tell her.  Listen, I know Joel can be an overconfident, cocky bastard but JESUS lady, this could actually be important and she just continues to brush him off like the guy isn't a freakin' Power Ranger working for the government!?  I guess all those times Joel hit on her and she rejected him finally made her not take him seriously at all??? Whatever....

It takes Simon breaking into one of the offices and hacking into one of the Aqua Base's computers to let her know what's going on! Oh and I love it how she thanks Simon but DOESN'T apologize to Joel for being a bitch and ignoring what he was trying to tell her! -_-  She just orders him to go when the alarms go off!!! Man, Ms. Fairweather is a b!tch!!! O_O  Why does Joel want her again???  Anyway, as the rangers head into their zords, they call on the Max Solarzord which Ms. Fairweather recalculated to be auto piloted by the rangers' battle boosters, to form the Lightspeed Solarzord.  As the rangers fire the megazord's weapons at the asteroid, they realize its ineffective!!! No kidding dude!!! You're firing weapons from Earth into space to his an asteroid the size of a freakin' state!!! What the hell did they expect??? O_o  Anyway, Queen Bansheera tells Olympius to stop the rangers and he uses an eclipse/forcefield around the Lightspeed Solarzord to power it down.  After a quick confrontation with the rangers and Olympius telling the rangers they are powerless to stop the asteroid, Ms. Fairweather tells them to return to the Aqua Base for the "Omega Project".

Earlier, Ms. Fairweather revealed to the rangers a new fleet of zords that would form the Omega Megazord (BEST. MEGAZORD. NAME. EVER!!!) that the rangers will now use to go into space to destroy the asteroid.  The Max Solarzord and the Rail Rescues are combined to make a space shuttle formation as the rangers blast off into space.  As they arrive closer to the asteroid, they are impacted by the asteroid field and immediately use the Omega zords to form the Omega Crawler to arrive at the main asteroid.  After placing detonators in two separate locations of the asteroid, Queen Bansheera traps the rangers as the asteroid becomes alive and grabs them.  Carter initializes the Omega Megazord and it helps them escape the clutches of the asteroid.  With no other choice, the rangers decide to blow up the asteroid manually; causing a massive explosion in space and seemingly sacrificing themselves to save the Earth.  Luckily, after a very dramatic silence, Carter contacts the Aqua Base to let everyone know they made it and are heading home! :) Back at the Aqua Base, everyone cheers on the rangers for a job well done; Joel of course using the moment to get a date with Ms. Fairweather.  But of course, it's just another moment to make Joel look like an idiot as Simon asks Ms. Fairweather out and inadvertently takes Simon out on a date instead!  Sure guys, just come in and laugh at Joel's expense as usual.  Jesus, you're ALL b!tches!!! O_O  Overall, this is still one of my favorite episodes this season! It has a good, intense story with some wonderful space centered action! You know how much I love my Power Rangers...wait for it....IN SPACE!!! hahahahaha.....oh shut up! :(
